50 CENT & SALLY FERREIRA |
The Manhattan federal court suit says a fuming 50 Cent on March 27 – days after the photos of the “Big Rich Town” video were shot by a “third party” – took to his Instragram account and posted a photo of Sally Ferreira with the text: “WARNING: Do not attempt to work with this thirsty Video bitch [Her name is Sally Ferreira and she's a model...] she sent photos Of the video shoot to Media takeout Saying I’m in a relationship With her Can anyone say RESHOOT.”
Below the picture, 50 Cent – who’s real name is Curtis Jackson III — captioned the post with: “Big FAIL, super thirsty, new shoot this week coming.
Unbelievable #smsaudio #Animal Ambition.”
In her suit, Ferreira says 50 Cent “had no factual basis” to tell people not to work with her – and that his statements have subjected her to “ridicule and scorn.” She also says she’s been in a serious relationship with someone else for nine years.
“Mr. Jackson knew his posting would be widely circulated and published to hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of individuals and entities,” the suit says.
50 Cent’s Instagram account has more than 1.8 million followers and within 40 minutes the remarks had received 6,156 “Likes” and 850 comments, the suit says.
They were removed a few hours after the posting “in recognition of his wrongdoing,” the suit claims. However that didn’t stop “negative and hurtful” articles from being written about Ferreira based on the statements on hip-hop websites like hot97.com.
Ferreira claims three pending entertainment industry products she was supposed to work on were put “on hold” following 50 Cent’s posting.
Ferreira has appeared in other music videos, including, “OK, You’re Right” and “I Like The Way She Do It,” for 50 Cent and “Monster” by Kayne West featuring Jay-Z and Nicki Minaj.
Reps for 50 Cent could not immediately be reached for comment.
