Drake’s Ex To Star In “Mistresses Of Atlanta” Reality Show
How many ratched reality shows can one take!? There’s one more coming down the pipeline, and from the looks of the trailer, this show is going to be another hot diggity mess.
Mickey “MeMpHitz” Wright, music executive and husband of Toya Carter, Lil’ Wayne’s ex, is the brainchild behind “The Real Mistresses of Atlanta.” Yes, the same dude who allegedly beat the crap out of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta star K.Michelle.
Drake’s ex and popular stripper, Maliah, leads the cast, which consist of ‘hood rat looking chicks that are obviously behind the scenes jump offs , because I’ve never heard of them. The show centers around Maliah, Rosee, Mary Jane, Sarah, and Branden. Yes, I said Branden! They have a male jump off, who according to him, claims to creep with some of your favorite “straight” rappers and athletes.
The show doesn’t have a network home yet, but expect VH1 or Oxygen to step up to the plate soon – you know they love showing train wrecks on their channels.
Shows like this are really giving Atlanta a bad name! Is this the type of stuff you want to see on TV?

NEWARK, N.J. -- Best in the country and Nos. 1 and 2 in the NBA draft. The celebration goes on for Kentucky's kids.
The Wildcats became the first school to have the top two picks and tied a record with six players taken Thursday night.
After the New Orleans Hornets made the long-expected selection of forward Anthony Davis with the first pick, Charlotte followed by taking fellow freshman Michael Kidd-Gilchrist.
"It's crazy," Davis said. "Michael is a great player. We have two down and four more to go. Hopefully, all of them will go in the first round."
They didn't, the only disappointment for the Wildcats. They settled for four in the first round and a tie with North Carolina, which won the race to four picks -- all in the top 17 selections.
Harrison Barnes (No. 7, Golden State), Kendall Marshall (No. 13, Phoenix), John Henson (No. 14, Milwaukee) and Tyler Zeller (No. 17, Dallas) all went between Kidd-Gilchrist and the next Kentucky player, Terrence Jones at No. 18 to Houston.
Zeller's rights were later traded to Cleveland for a package that included No. 24 pick Jared Cunningham of Oregon State.
Otherwise, it was the Wildcats' night, starting with a hug between Davis and Kidd-Gilchrist after the first selection.

RhymeFest Says Chief Keef & Waka Flocka’s Music Is Destroying Minds
Conscious rapper RhymeFest released a blog recently that calls out Waka Flocka Flame and Chief Keef for “destroying young minds.” Check out an excerpt from his blog below:
Chief Keef is a “Bomb”, he represents the senseless savagery that white people see when the news speaks of Chicago violence. A Bomb has no responsibility or blame, it does what it was created to do; DESTROY! Notice, no one is talking about the real culprits, the Bomb maker or the pilot who is deploying this deadly force (Labels, Radio Stations). Its easier to blame the bomb. Bombs are not chosen for their individual talents, they are tools used for collateral damage.
To think of the persona of Chief Keef as a person would be the first mistake, he will more then likely come and go without us knowing much of anything about his personal pains, struggles, great loves and ambitions beyond rap. He is a spokesman for the Prison Industrial Complex. Every corporation is expected to grow at least 4% each quarter, many prisons are privately owned with stock being traded on the open market. If these corporations were to do commercials, jingles and promotions who would they hire? You got it, most of the main stream rappers we salivate over like Rick Ross the former correctional officer turned Drug Lord Boss rapper. Waka Flocka Flame gang bang “GO HARD IN THE PAINT” and Chief Keef the newest lottery pick in the “Get paid to destroy young minds, like we destroyed yours” Sweepstakes.
Lets stop giving our intellectual power resources and admiration to destructive forces while ignoring and starving out the good that is being done, sung and rapped about by artist like Killer Mike, Lupe Fiasco, RhymeFest, Dead Prez, Brother ALI, Maimouna Yusef, Invincible, Jean Grey, Mikkey Halsted etc

MATT BARNES SEXUAL ESCAPADES W/ BASKETBALL WIVES GLORIA GOVAN
Matt Barnes, the NBA Bad Boy, is flaunting his tattoos on the latest cover of Bleu Magazine. And he’s kind of giving Bleu readers a peek into his sex life with Basketball Wives LA star, Gloria Govan. Bathrooms, Diners, sex outside in the rain…they’ve probably been there and done that according to Matt who likes to keep his relationship spicy.
In the issue, which hits newsstands next month, Matt also admits that he was jealous of Gloria when she was seeing other people during their separation and he reveals that he is now able to ignore the groupies of the NBA –which come a dime a dozen.
On getting his priorities right and ignoring the groupies
In the league, women come a dime a dozen. Not to sound stuck-up or anything, but that’s just how it is. At some point you have to wake up and realize what your priorities are. Some guys wake up sooner than others. I woke up and I realized what was important to me.
On being jealous of Gloria Govan when she dated other men during their separation
You like to go into a situation saying yes we are always going to be together forever and what’s mine is yours, what’s yours is mine, but sometimes it doesn’t work out like that.
Even when Gloria and I were dating other people, when people would say things about her, it bothered me. Even though we weren’t together it was something that made me mad you know? It’s different when they are talking about the mother of your children.
On their sexual escapades
So sometimes that means middle of the day sex. Sometimes that means after lunch you go and have sex in the bathroom. We do things outside the norm. I think we were in London last year in a really fancy nice restaurant and….the bathroom.
MARY J BLIGE SPEAKS ON BURGER KING CONTROVERSY
Mary J. Blige probably cringes every time she hears that phrase, or anything involving, ‘Crispy Chicken. Fresh Lettuce. Three Cheeses. Ranch Dressing’ for that matter. Earlier this year, she became the butt of many jokes when Burger King released a commercial with Mary singing a jingle about their new Chicken Wraps. Aside from a statement, released shortly after the video was pulled from the internet, Mary has kept mute about the actual controversy surrounding the video as well as her decision to do it.
Yesterday, she dropped by The Angie Martinez show at Hot 97, and finally cleared the air on her decision to do the commercial as well as how she was affected by all of the negative reactions. She admitted to Angie that she has been quiet about it for months because everyone was crucifying her and it broke her heart. She also revealed that the commercial was very different than what was sold to her by Burger King and she says that the infamous ‘What’s in a Chicken Wrap’ line was a question she was actually asking during filming, because she forgot the words. Long story short, she thought this was an amazing branding opportunity but Burger King did her kind of dirty.
This is a perfect lesson in protecting your brand. It should be added in contracts that the artist has to approve the final version of commercials before it is released. That was scandalous.

Long story short, she thought this was an amazing branding opportunity but Burger King did her kind of dirty.
On her first reaction to the Burger King commercialMary’s artist Starshell also spoke up during the interview and said that Burger King had told her that the commercial was suppose to be about a guy dreaming, ‘like OMG! Imagine if the icon Mary J. Blige was singing to me’.
I went online to listen to the remix I did with Fat Joe and I’m looking for that and all I see is Burger King, chicken, buffoonery and I’m like, “What the heck?” It just broke my heart that people were going crazy and I understand the laughter and the jokes that was happening. That’s all good! You’re supposed to do that when something like that happens . It made people’s website [hits] go up. It made people get more ratings on their radio stations. Cool. Whatever. Hehe Haha, but the thing that hurt me is when people were just starting to say vicious and negative things that didn’t even have nothing to do with that. What it did was expose everyone and everything that was in my life and it showed me who my friends are.
When I saw it, it hurt me so bad. It looked like soft porn. On the part where it says “What’s in the chicken wrap?” How about this, I was asking them a question for real. I couldn’t remember the words so I was like, “What’s in the chicken warp?” They sped it up and made me look ridiculous. It was like I wanted to crawl under the bed. It was crazy how I felt, you don’t even know. I had to go to the airport the next day when it was hot off the press. It was a mistake! People look at it as a mistake but I did it because I thought it was something that wouldn’t come out like that.
On what she expected from the commercial
It was sold to us that I would be shot in an iconic way and it was going to be great so I was looking for someone to have mercy but no one had mercy and it’s cool. It was a learning experience.
On how the negative comments affected her
It hurt my feelings. It crushed me for like two days but after those two days I got up and I kept going. Andre Harrell, my real family members stood up for me but all those fair-weather friends, and suckas that were online poppin’ junk. People were jumping out saying “Uh-Oh, I didn’t do that, not me.” It’s like who asked you? And that’s the type of stuff that hurt my feelings so bad and I want to apologize to everyone that was offended or thought that I would do something so disrespectful to our culture. I would never do anything like that purposely. I thought I was doing something right so forgive me and now I’m moving on.
On if she felt as the actual commercial was a mistake
Now I feel like I did. I didn’t know I was making one honestly. First of all, as a kid I always wanted to do something like a Burger King commercial, or ‘have it your way’ or even a McDonald’s commercial. When we were kids, my father, who is a musician wrote us a jingle to McDonalds, which is crazy. At the end of the day, it’s something that I always wanted to do and dreamed about and that’s why I did it. No, they didn’t pay me $2 million dollars. It was about an branding opportunity.
On turning down good money to promote products
Listen, Proactive came to me asking me to be a spokesperson for their line. I don’t use proactive and it was a lot of money and it was way more money than $2 million dollars. My fans look at me and they want to do everything I want to do. What is she using on her skin? What is she wearing on her hair? I’m more concerned about my fans and telling them what’s real then some money. I’ve turned down alcohol and they always come with the most money and I’m like, ‘no, I’m not doing that,’ because here I am saying I want to turn my life around and I don’t abuse alcohol anymore so why am I going to sell it to you?
This is a perfect lesson in protecting your brand. It should be added in contracts that the artist has to approve the final version of commercials before it is released. That was scandalous.
WIFE RUNS OVER HUSBAND'S MISTRESS AND 4 YR OLD CHILD
Naked Chinese woman uses her car to plow into husband's mistress and her 4-yr old daughter head on. After running into husband's mistress and child she then strips and lays in front of ambulance to avoid them from getting medical attention at a local hospital. |
A Chinese woman was determined to stop at nothing to prevent her husband's fatally wounded mistress from getting to the hospital.
The jealous woman stripped off all her clothes and laid on the ground in front of the ambulance carrying the woman and her 4-year-old daughter, both critically injured.
Zhang Shih, 38, allegedly hit the woman and child with her car last Sunday after a fight over the affair.
The mistress, whose last name is Wang, was riding her bike with the child on the back when Zhang's car hit them head-on.
The unconscious child was taken out from underneath the car and put into the ambulance, but Zhang blocked it, determined to make every effort to stop the pair from getting treatment, the website reports.
She didn’t budge even as armed police surrounded her and pointed guns at her. The little girl died at the hospital. Her mother is in critical condition. An investigation is still pending. Zhang, a university teacher from Linyi, Shangdong province in eastern China, faces charges of murder and attempted murder, punishable by the death penalty.

CREDIT & BANK ACCOUNT MAINTENANCE: CLEAN IT UP!!!
Many people don’t know that closing accounts can affect your credit score – but not always in a positive way! Knowing the right way to close an account will help you maintain healthy credit.
The right way
- Before you close any accounts, you should first evaluate how many accounts you have, what they are costing you, what you use them for, and how they may affect your credit score. Closing an account may save you money in annual fees, or reduce the risk of fraud on those accounts, but closing the wrong accounts could actually harm your credit score.
- Check your credit reports online to see your account status before you close accounts to help your credit score. A good mix of credit is important, and too many accounts of the same type may be hurting your score. But remember, accounts that have been open for a long time, and those with high credit limits but low balances, may have a positive impact on your credit score.
- If you still decide to close some accounts to help your credit score, start by looking at inactive accounts that you no longer use. Cards that you don’t use, but charge high annual fees, may be candidates for closure in order to save you money.
- When you close accounts, remember to keep at least one of your older credit accounts open. And consider keeping enough accounts open so your total balances on all open cards is less than 35% of the total credit limits.
- If controlling your spending is a problem, designate one card for regular use and try to pay the balance in-full each month to help your credit score. Keep the other cards in a safe place for emergencies only so that you are not tempted to overspend.
The wrong way
- Try not to close the oldest account on your credit reports. This could shorten your active credit history and damage your score.
- Don’t just throw away old cards and expect your accounts to close automatically. When you close accounts, the correct way is to call or send a letter to the customer service department of the card issuer (not the credit reporting company). You should receive an account closing confirmation letter in 10 days.
- You shouldn't be tempted to cancel several accounts all at once when you close accounts. Gradually paying down and closing accounts may be the best plan if you are unsure about the impact on your credit score, or the amount of debt you need to carry. If you want to cancel multiple credit accounts, space the closures over time to avoid this being viewed negatively by potential creditors.
- Avoid putting all your balances on one card as you close accounts to help your credit score. If your credit balance increases to above 35% of your available limit on that card, it could negatively affect your credit score.
- Keep monitoring your credit reports for updates once the accounts are closed to help your credit score. Wait 30-60 days for the creditor to report the closed account and the credit reporting companies to update records. While the accounts and payment histories will stay on your report for seven or more years, they should be marked as "closed."
MEEK MILLS DISSED BY NIGHTCLUB
Meek Mill is now unwelcome at some New York nightclubs after being caught up in the June 14 brawl at W.i.P. in SoHo between Chris Brown and Drake that left several clubgoers injured. The Philly-born rapper was partying with Drake’s camp at the hot spot when the fight broke out between entourages that sent liquor bottles flying. Early yesterday, Mill was turned away from Meatpacking District club Tenjune after rolling up at about 2 a.m. And he even eagerly posted word of his arrival at the swanky spot on Twitter. But the bouncers didn’t seem to share his zeal for getting inside. Mill tweeted after he was denied by the doormen: “I don’t got no love for these clubs that discriminate against a certain race! [Bleep] you . . . u won’t get these racks!” (For our slang-impaired readers, “racks” means “money,” in thousands.) After Mill left, observers told us that police showed up at the venue because of an unrelated incident, but left within minutes. A Tenjune rep had no comment on the incident.
Guess Which “Diplomat” Prodigy Is Doing A Joint Album With?
Prodigy has hinted that he will be joining forces with a certain Diplomat rapper for a joint album. Have you guessed who it is yet? These two collaborated last year for the track, “Take A Bow”, and now Prodigy has revealed that they are in talks to record an album together.
Prodigy’s alleged new partner in crime is none other than Mr. Dipset himself, Jim Jones!
We hear the two concocted the idea backstage at the Club Paradise tour in New York. Hmm, so I guess that means no new Mobb Deep or Diplomat’s projects, huh? Is this trade off worth it?
Prodigy’s new album, H.N.I.C. 3, will be in stores on July 3.
Illuminati-esque Gift to Jay-Z For Father’s Day?!
Jay-Z certainly came off well for his first Father’s Day this year. Not only was he rumored to have received a $40 Million private jet from Beyonce – now we hear Kanye also gifted him with an amazing gift.
According to The Insider, Yeezy gave Hov the ultimate Illuminati collectible – a solid gold skull, rumored to have set Yeezy back $34,000. The yellow gold piece is a Lions & Sons Divora Skull with 1,680 star-cut red topaz gemstones. Kanye wanted to see the look on his best friend’s face when he opened the gift, so he allegedly charted a private jet to hand deliver the gift.
Check out a few photos of the gift below:
That’s one super expensive paper weight!
QUINCY JONES SAYS ‘DIDDY WOULDN’T KNOW A B FLAT IF IT HIT HIM’
When Quincy Jones a musical genius speaks people pay attention and listen, and during Spotify’s Launch Event he had a lot to say about Diddy and we are all ears.
Puff’s fame generates from his lack of dancing ability, his eye for talent, his business ventures, and his overall ability to take and mold an artist only to sh*t on em down the line ie …Craig Mack, The Lox, Total, Making the Band, need I go on.
Quincy Jones pegged him right when he made the statement ‘Diddy wouldn’t know a B Flat if it hit him.’
Jones said that the rapper and Bad Boy head honcho “couldn’t recognize a b flat if it hit him.” Instead, Jones noted, “P. Diddy has a doctorate in marketing,” citing his clothing labels and success with Ciroc (his vodka company) as the rapper’s true talents.
Though Jones’ comments might strike some as a welcome rebuke of Diddy’s reputation as one of the most influential men in hip-hop, the situation is slightly more complicated. Though Diddy is probably not a fantastic musician, he has proven (time and time again) to have a great ear. After all, this is the man that signed not only Faith Evans, 112, Cassie and Mario Winans, but also Biggie Smalls. (That said, it could be argued that his biggest musical achievement was stumbling upon and fostering Notorious B.I.G., which was decades ago
R.Kelly Reveals What Rapper Was Originally Supposed To Be On “The Best Of Both Worlds” Instead of Jay-Z
R.Kelly autobiography, Soulacoaster: The Diary of Me, is out July 28, and Rolling Stone got its hands on some interesting excerpts from the book, where R.Kelly reveals that Jay-Z wasn’t his original choice for the ‘The Best Of Both Worlds’ album. The Chicago crooner says that the rapper that originally sparked the idea for him was Tupac Shakur.
In the book, Kelly recalls a 1996 chance meeting with ‘Pac in front of a hotel. He says they planned to release a collaborative album at that meeting, but the idea came to a tragic end after Shakur was murdered later that year.
“Come September, and it looked like my schedule was opening up just before the holidays. I set up a meeting with Pac for us to plot our strategy, get firm dates and make the musical bomb that we both know would explode all around the world,” Kelly wrote. “But another bomb exploded that no one saw coming.”
The story is all detailed in the book’s chapter titled “Yo Pac! Yo Biggie!” In that same chapter, Kelly also recalls a moment when he made Biggie Smalls cry after he played him a few notes from a song that would become “I Believe I Can Fly”. Check out the except below:
“One time, we were on tour together and we were staying at the same hotel in Detroit. It was late and the after-party was over. The hotel-lobby party was over. The hotel-room party was over. There were still people hanging out in the lobby. And I was back in the lobby where they had this piano. I had just recalled that childhood dream with the cartoon characters chasing me. I remember the melody from that dream and was trying to figure out the rest of the lyrics, working on what would become “I Believe I Can Believe Fly.” Biggie and his crew came in the lobby about four in the morning.
“What’s up, baby! Great show, baby! What you doing?
“He came over to the piano, and I started to play it for him: “I believe I can fly, I believe I can touch the sky . . .” but so far that’s all I had.
“I’m gonna tell you right now, B, that’s a smash. That’s a big hit right there. That’s a Grammy winner, Rob.”
When I was playing it for him, I was thinking – he’s a hardcore rapper; this is gonna be too soft for him – but when I got through and looked up, his face was wet with tears.
“My brother,” he said, “they gonna be playing that when you and I have moved on to the other side of time.”
It sounds like R.Kelly has a lot of great stories to tell. Imagine how different the Best Of Both Worlds‘ album would have been if it was ‘Pac instead of Jay-Z?
The singer’s new album, Write Me Back, is out now
