The Hubble Space Telescope captured this galactic grin…
It's not often something a telescope spots something resembles a smiley face emoji in space.
The Hubble space telescope snapped a picture of Galaxy cluster SDSS J1038+4849 that appears to form a smiley face, according to a statement from European Space Agency.
The happy face is actually created by two eyes made of, "very bright galaxies and the misleading smile lines," are caused by a strong gravitational lensing that can create an arc like effect, according to the ESA website.
The smiley face was first spotted by Judy Schmidt in 2012. Schmidt entered the photo into the Hubble's Hidden Treasure competition, which allows people to go through massive data from the Hubble archive and process the images.
Schmidt summed up the find on her Flikr photo caption: "It looks happy."
ESA released the image on its website on Feb. 9.
