Kanye’s planned initial launch with adidas has been rumored about, pushed back and generally beaten to death without anything concrete by way of reliable information being presented. Until now.

The brothers at The Shoe Game somehow cracked the code to give the world a heads-up that Kanye’s first footwear collab with the Stripes, tentatively called the YEEZi, could be releasing during NBA All-Star Weekend.

However, before grabbing that lawn chair and planning for a campout in front of stores, prospective buyers should know the usual tactics won’t work as adidas has devised a release system that includes a new app.


The function is simple. App users will receive push notifications for releases – specifically highly anticipated ones like Kanye’s – that will allow them to reserve kicks at their local adidas stores and select wholesale partners. Initially, the app’s limited to NYC but we're sure there will be a way for the rest of the country to get down.
