BROOKLYN RAPPER "RA DIGGS" FOUND GUILTY ON ALL 21 COUNTS AND NOW FACES LIFE IN PRISON

YouTube rapper Ronald ‘Ra Diggs’ Herron faces life in prison
RONALD "RA DIGGS" HERRON
Gowanus drug lord and aspiring rapper Ronald “Ra Diggs” Herron was found guilty on all 21 counts that he faced — including murder raps — in Brooklyn federal court Thursday after only a day of deliberation.

Wearing glasses and a dress shirt, the stocky defendant showed no reaction after the verdict was read as his family members wept openly in the court gallery.

He faces a mandatory life sentence in prison for a slew of racketeering charges including several drug-related slayings.

Herron, 32, drew mild acclaim for his series of gritty YouTube rap videos, which were later used against him by prosecutors who claimed that they illustrated his gangster lifestyle.

His attorneys countered that the rhymes were simply fictional accounts of his violent Brooklyn surroundings.

Prosecutors painted Herron as a ruthless thug who stopped at nothing — including close-range killings — to ascend to the top of the Gowanus drug game.

The high-ranking Bloods gangster’s reputation soared after he beat a state murder rap and his attorneys argued that he cleaned up his act after surviving the charge.

But jurors took little time to conclude that he had done just the opposite.
His sentencing date is set for October.
