(VIDEO) SOLANGE VIOLENTLY ATTACKS JAY Z AS BEYONCE WATCHES THE PHYSICAL ALTERCATION IN HOTEL ELEVATOR AT THE MET BALL PARTY

Jay Z was viciously assaulted by Beyoncé’s sister Solange, who was seen wildly kicking and swinging at him inside an elevator at a Met Ball after party.

Surveillance video obtained by TMZ from the Standard Hotel in the Meatpacking District shows Jay, Beyonce and Solange step into the elevator, before Solange appears to go crazy, screaming and lashing out at Jay with her arms and legs.

A man who appears to be a bodyguard, is seen attempting to hold Solange back, but she still manages to hit him a number of times, and then tries to kick the “Magna Carta … Holy Grail” star in the crotch.

Jay is seen trying to deflect an infuriated Solange who is still wearing her peach silk dress from the gala and at one point grabs her foot, but he never attempts to hit her back.

While there is no sound on the video, a concerned-looking Beyoncé appears to be trying to plead with her sister to calm down, but does not get physically involved.

It is not clear what started the fight as Jay, Beyoncé and Solange have a famously close relationship. But other pictures from the glamorous evening show Solange looking glum and even angry, particularly as she leaves the venue with Jay and Beyoncé.

According to TMZ, in the midst the bodyguard is seen hitting the emergency stop switch on the 12th floor, presumably to keep the fight private.
