Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian have "effectively" separated although the pair have yet to seek out divorce lawyers.
The pair have been apart since last Wednesday when Kardashian tried to stage an intervention for Odom, who is allegedly addicted to crack cocaine.

During the alleged intervention, Kardashian made it clear to Odom that their marriage would be over unless he sought treatment.

According to the gossip site, Odom refused Kardashian's demand and he was subsequently kicked to the curb by the reality TV star.

The former NBA star did not take confrontation well and those close to him fear that he has been on a drug bender for the past few days.

Odom has not been seen in the last four days, although a rep told TMZ that the former NBAer is fine.

Even though the Kardashian-Odom marriage seems to be in tatters the reality TV star took to Twitter yesterday to defend her marriage.

"Really hard to sit here and listen to people talk s--- about my family! F--- you and shame on you! I'm too protective for this s---!" Khloe tweeted.

Even though Kardashian seems to be standing by her marriage, if the situation worsens and the pair divorce there won't be too many details to hammer out.

Apparently Khloe's mom Kris Jenner demanded an airtight prenup when Kardashian and Odom married after their four-weeklong courtship.
