NFL PLAYERS ASSOCIATION LAUNCHES INVESTIGATION INTO JAY-Z & ROC NATION SPORTS RECRUITMENT OF GENO SMITH

The NFL Players Association has sent a letter of inquiry to Roc Nation agent Kim Miale, concerning Jay-Z’s involvement in recruiting New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith.
According to Around The League, Miale will need to write the NFLPA a letter responding to the allegations, and depending on the facts, the matter then could be referred to the Committee on Agent Regulation and Discipline, which regulates agents for the union. A hearing could also take place.

The recently instituted “runner rule” prohibits agents from having colleagues or friends who aren’t NFLPA-certified agents present for recruiting meetings.
A lot of the concern the NFLPA has stems from an Instagram photo that shows Smith and Jay Z together under the moniker #RocBoys.

The NFLPA is trying to say that Smith hired Miale not because of Miale but because of Jay-Z.  The NFLPA also inquired about Jay Z’s relationship a few weeks back.

 

I”m not sure that the NFLPA really has a case.  Smith is allowed to have a relationship based on the potential for a marketing and endorsement deal.

 

Smith’s excuse simply can be that he wanted to handle his business under one roof.  However it sounds like a lame attempt to slow down Roc Nation Sports from taking over the game.  Who knows how many of these so called agents pressured the NFLPA to do this. 

 

These are the same people who seek out 8th grade and high school kids like their next meal ticket.  These kids want to sign with someone they can relate to and believe they can trust.  Some call it a familiar face.

 

NFLPA stop hating and do something useful like making sure the retired players who lined your pockets with millions and are now broke, hungry, and suffer ailments from years of collisions get fed and the medical attention they need!!

 

Hate all you want NFLPA and sports agents but Roc Nation Sports is here to stay.  In such a short time their roster boasts the likes of Robinson Cano who fired his agent Scott Boras to sign with them.  Oh, and by the way that couldn't have made Boras happy being that the NY Yankees second baseman is in line for a big payday.

 

Next the newly found sports agency landed NY Giants WR Victor Cruz, who also is looking at signing a hefty contract.

Then they changed the game like only Roc Nation could and signed their first female athlete Skylar Diggins who is only the nicest chick coming out of college this year.  Jay showed his class and appreciation by sending Ms. Diggins a brand new Mercedes Benz to her graduation.  Maybe, that's why they mad Flex.
