(REALITY TV) KIM -VS- KANDI SPIN-OFFS, WHO GETS THE BETTER RATINGS

KIM ZOLCIAK BIERMANN & KANI BURRUSS
Kim Zolciak Biermann and Kandi Burruss may be going head-to-head in Federal Court, but they're also facing off in your living rooms.  That's right!  It's Kandi vs. Kim: Ratings Edition!  While Kandi is suing her former friend and Real Housewives of Atlanta co-star over the song Don't Be Tardy for the PartyKim may be having the last laugh over whose spin-off is garnering the most attention. Viewers were right on time for the premiere of season two of Kim's Don't Be Tardy show, while last week no one seemed to want to party at The Kandi Factory.  I wonder how Kim will feel to learn that this week she actually gave her new nemesis' show a boost?

According to Bravo Ratings, Kandi's new show didn't attract a stellar amount of viewers when it premiered last week.  Some might even say it tanked, premiering to only 671,000 viewers.  Yikes.  Tuesday night's second episode saw a very, VERY slight increase thanks to a certain WIG!

The increase in viewers for Kandi's show didn't even put The Kandi Factory in the Top 100 Cable TV ranking, but at least a thousand more people tuned in to watch Kandi work her magic on unknown talent.  Baby steps, right?  However–and this has to sting–the Watch What Happens Live featuring Kim which aired after The Kandi Factory had over 800,000 viewers, which means people tuned in for Don't Be Tardy, skipped out on Kandi, and returned for Andy Cohen and WIG!  Ouch.

Kim, on the other hand, had a great premiere this week with 1,157,000 tuning in for Tuesday's thirty minute premiere.  Even more people watched the second thirty minute installment that aired immediately following the premiere.  That second episode brought 1,259,000 viewers.

These numbers are on par with the first episodes of Don't Be Tardy for the Wedding whose premiere was one of the lesser watched episodes of the season.  If history repeats itself, Kim's numbers are only going to grow.  While that is great news for Kim, hopefully it will help out Kandi as well going forward.  After all, both shows are produced by the same company.  I wonder how Kim will react if her spin-off continues to bring new viewers for Kandi…
