YANKEES GM CASHMAN BREAKS HIS ANKLE IN CHARITY SKY DIVE

Yankees general manager Brian Cashman broke his right ankle while sky diving this morning and will need surgery.
The injury occurred on the landing of the second of his two jumps. Cashman said that the ankle twisted and he felt a pop.
Nevertheless, Cashman remained in good spirits even while hospitalized. He wrote to The Post, in a text message, that the experience was "awesome," and that his mishap would raise even more attention for the Wounded Warrior Project, the cause he wanted to publicize with his endeavor.
Cashman made the jumps in tandem with U.S. Army Sergeant First Class Noah Watts, a member of the Golden Knights, which is the U.S. Army Parachute Team. He agreed to do so along with Fox 5 broadcaster Duke Castiglione and Castiglione's friend Sandy Krigel, a retired Air Force pilot. Cashman made his first jump without a problem and then was persuaded by a staff sergeant to make a second jump.
