BOBBY BROWN SENTENCED ON CHARGES OF THIRD DUI AND DRIVING WITH A SUSPENDED LICENSE

BOBBY BROWN
Bobby Brown appeared in court on Tuesday, Feb. 26 to face charges for DUI number three and driving on a suspended license. What punishment did the judge pass down to the Being Bobby Brown star? Did he get a slap on the wrist? Or is he headed to the slammer? Take the jump to find out!

According to TMZ, Brown was arrested and charged with DUI number three in October. But that wasn’t all, not only was he driving while under the influence of alcohol, he was also driving on a suspended license, so he was slapped with a charge for that as well.

When Brown appeared before the judge, he entered a plea of no contest. The judge could have sentenced him to up to two years behind bars but instead, Brown was sentenced to 55 days in jail and four-years of probation. And his punishment didn’t stop there. The judge also ordered him to pay a $500 fine plus penalty assessment and to complete an 18-month alcohol program.

While Brown was not remanded into custody on Tuesday, he only has until Mar. 20 to get is affairs in order and turn himself in to the jail. In the meantime, the judge ordered that he attend three Alcoholics Anonymous meetings per week.

But we have to wonder, will this sentence be enough to turn the troubled star around? Given his track record, it’s doubtful. He has spent time in rehab on several occasions in the past; however none of them seemed to work.
