A rapper from Atlanta was shot and killed Wednesday (Jan. 2) hours after tweeting about his demise.
The body of Justin Mitchell, who rhymed under the name Yung Teddy, was found in an Austell, Ga. home at around 10:18 p.m.
From the Atlanta Journal Constitution:
A 23-year-old Austell man was found shot to death at a home in Austell Wednesday night, according to police. Police responding to a call of a shooting in a home around 10:18 p.m. discovered Justin Mitchell dead from an apparent gunshot wound.
Investigators are asking for help in finding the two suspects in the shooting. The first is described as a black man with a thin build, between 20 and 23 years old, and about 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-9. He was last seen wearing a gray sweater, dark pants and a black beanie hat. He was armed with a handgun.
The second suspect is a black man, 5-foot-4 to 5-foot-6 tall. He was last seen wearing a multicolored beanie hat and a navy blue bandana covering his face.
Earlier in the day, Mitchell sent out the cryptic tweet: “N***AS WANNA SEE ME DEAD.”
Mitchell is one of many young men who have lost their lives to gun violence, but tweeting about his future puts him in the company of Ervin McKinness. Leading up to his death via a car accident, McKinness tweeted about driving drunk, before ending the post with Drake’s go-to phrase: “YOLO” (you only live once).
Text message sent to Yung Teddy's phone day before he was fatally shot.
