Yocairis Diaz seen with police leaving Ridgewood Funeral Home before the wake of her brother Frank Fortuna 20, who she is accused of killing over a cell phone.
The first person to say farewell Thursday at the wake of a Queens man fatally stabbed over a cell phone was his accused killer — and sister.
Yocairis Diaz was delivered by police to the Ridgewood funeral home a half hour before the wake for 20-year-old Frank Fortuna.
Dressed in a light pink shirt and gray pants with a matching jacket, the 18-year-old murder suspect was given 30 minutes with her dead brother, who lay in an open casket with a small stuffed Elmo doll.
Diaz was crying when she was escorted out and placed in a police van to take her back to jail. She said nothing to her kin outside the San Jose Funeral Home.
But a dozen family members ran alongside the van.
"We love you baby girl! We're here for you!" one family member yelled.
Diaz is charged with killing her brother in their Woodhaven home last Friday after he tried to take her phone. She fled with two pals afterward, police said.
"She loved her brother," her aunt, Maritza Diaz, said at the wake. "The whole thing was an accident because they loved one another dearly. They were inseparable."
The siblings' mom, Ingrid Ortiz, collapsed on the sidewalk and a relative yelled. "Yo, yo, take a picture!" But when newspaper photographer Joel Cairo pulled out his camera, Ortiz's other son, 19-year-old Kevin Diaz, began throwing punches.
Cairo was not hurt and Diaz later apologized.
"I'm so sorry," he said "I'm just so upset."
