Man Bites Other Man's Ear Over TV Channel In Diner

A fight in a Staten Island diner started when a customer wanted to change the channel and ended with him getting part of his ear bitten off.
The owner of Mike Jr.'s Oakwood Diner said 35-year-old Nicholas Cacace was arguing with a waitress about changing the station so he could watch sports.
She called her boyfriend, 52-year-old Thomas Tomasello, to the restaurant.
Authorities say Tomasello attacked the other man outside, punching him in the face and biting off part of his ear.
He faces assault charges.
"Just another day in the diner business," said Mike Moudatsos, the manager of the diner. "Crazy stuff happens every day. Welcome to Oakwood Diner, that's what I say usually. Maybe he didn't like anything to eat in here so he figured he would eat his ear."
Tomasello was released on $1,000 bail and is due back in court on August 9.
