DIALLO COP SHOOTER GETS HIS GUN AND SHIELD BACK AFTER 13 YEARS

FIRE FIGHT: Kenneth Boss, one of the cops who shot Amadou Diallo 41 times in The Bronx, regained his police gun after a long battle.
Kenneth Boss, one of the cops who shot Amadou Diallo 41 times in The Bronx, regained his police gun after a long battle.
One of the four cops involved in the fatal shooting of unarmed Bronx immigrant Amadou Diallo finally got his NYPD gun back yesterday — more than 13 years after the 41-bullet debacle that rocked the city. Officer Kenneth Boss, 41, had battled three consecutive police commissioners for the right to carry a gun again, including the current commish, Ray Kelly, who finally agreed to allow him to have the department’s standard 9mm weapon, police sources told The Post.
It was unclear why Kelly suddenly changed his mind, the sources added.
Regardless, “[Boss] is relieved it’s all finally over,’’ said a source who talked to the cop recently, adding that the officer immediately went to the police gun range to requalify.

“This is what he was fighting for. He thinks that he was found not guilty in Criminal Court, he didn’t do anything wrong, so if he did nothing wrong, he should be allowed to be a cop,” the source said.
The officer had fired five shots in the barrage of bullets that felled the 24-year-old Diallo in February 1999. In the dark that night, the cops had mistaken Diallo for a rape suspect and opened fire on him as he reached for what they thought was a gun. He was going for his wallet. He was struck by 19 bullets.
Boss had been acquitted of criminal charges in the case, as were the other cops, and cleared of wrongdoing by the NYPD Firearms Discharge Review Board.
He is the only one of the four cops to remain on the force: One retired, and the others became firefighters.
Most recently, Boss has been working at Emergency Service Unit headquarters at Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn, assisting in SCUBA- and rope-training classes and doing repair work in the shop on motors, sources said.
He had already filed — and lost — state and federal lawsuits to win back his weapon. That left him at the mercy of the police commissioner.
Kelly had argued in his affidavit in the state suit that if Boss ever had to shoot in the line of police duty again, “he and the department would be inappropriately subjected to prejudgment.”
The cop tried to argue in his federal case that his constitutional rights were being violated by the ban. Boss said he had become a department “pariah’’ who was “forced to endure regular taunts because of his [no-gun] status.” Some officers mocked him as “Kenny No-Gun,” Boss said.

CHINESE RESTAURANT SHUT DOWN AFTER ROAD KILL CARCASS DISCOVERED

Delicious: A Chinese restaurant has been closed after patrons watches two workers wheel a deer carcass into the kitchen in the middle of lunchtime
Stomachs turned at a Chinese restaurant in Kentucky last week when in the middle of enjoying a buffet lunch, customers noticed a rubbish bin full of roadkill being wheeled into the kitchen.
Locals and regulars of the Red Flower Restaurant in Williamsburg couldn't believe their eyes as they watched the owner's son and an employee pushing a clumsily concealed deer carcass through the dining room as it dripped blood all over the floor.
In a useless attempt to avoid unwanted attention, the men had tried to hide the dead animal under a box, but to all watching, the shocking truth was plain to see.
After one quick-thinking diner called the health authorities, an inspector arrived to investigate and was amazed to hear the restaurant owner telling him that he didn't know he wasn't allowed to pick up roadkill.

Hidden: The owner's son and an employee hid the carcass in a bin but its limbs were seen sticking out and dripping blood by all who sat and watched

Red Flower regular, Tonya Thacker admitted she vomited straight away after witnessing the gut-wrenching scene.
'I don't think I'll ever eat Chinese food again,' she said.
Another diner, Katie Hopkins, described how 'two of the workers came in wheeling a garbage can and they had a box sitting on top of it. And hanging out of the garbage can, they were trying to be real quick with it so that nobody could see it.

'But there was like a tail, and a foot and leg sticking out of the garbage can and they wheeled it straight back into the kitchen.'
The restaurant owner's son admitted they had found the roadkill along the side of the I-75 but insisted they had not intended to serve it to their customers.
Marveling at the irony with disgust Ms Hopkins said: 'We were actually joking about the, you know, the whole Chinese restaurant. You know some rumors that you hear.'
She continued; 'Many people eat there. A lot of locals eat there on lunch breaks and stuff. It was very disturbing. There was actually a blood trail that they were mopping up behind the garbage can.'
Though the restaurant does not face any fines, many customers like Ms Thacker and Ms Hopkins will no doubt stay clear of the Chinese eatery in the future.

A nine-year-old boy was shot and killed by his fourth-grade classmate after they got into an argument over the winner of 'student of the week', police believe.
Alaska State Troopers say Spencer Polty was killed by a shot to his chest  from a .17-caliber pellet rifle fired by another nine-year-old boy in Pilot Station on Friday afternoon.
The rifle has been described as 'high-powered' and is believed to have went off during an argument between the two boys.
The victim's distraught mother, Joyce Polty, spoke about the incident.
'It seemed like a usual day,' she said. 'He wasn't causing any trouble. He wasn't teasing like he used to do. He was just jolly.'
She said told the Anchorage Daily News that in the afternoon, Spencer went out to play with his cousin and the boy suspected of firing the fatal shot, who was carrying an air rifle with him.
She says her son's cousin witnessed the shooting and ran into the house in a panic to tell her around 1.45pm.
The boy was rushed to hospital but was pronounced dead soon after arrival.
Mrs Polty said she does not know what should happen to the boy accused of killing her son but said his mother apologized to her recently in the village store.
'I have to forgive him,' she said.
The village, with a population of about 600, is on the lower Yukon River.
The boy has not been identified and police are unsure what charges will be filed.

TSA OFFICER REVEALS SECRETS OF THEFT BY AIRPORT SECURITY AND WHY YOU SHOULD BE CONCERNED

PHOTO: Former TSA screener Pythias Brown was fired for stealing from passenger luggage at Newark airport.

A convicted TSA security officer says he was part of a "culture" of indifference that allowed corrupt employees to prey on passengers' luggage and personal belongings with impunity, thanks to lax oversight and tip-offs from TSA colleagues.
"It was very commonplace, very," said Pythias Brown, a former TSA officer at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey who admits he stole more than $800,000 worth of items from luggage and security checkpoints over a four-year period.
"It was very convenient to steal," he said.
Speaking publicly for the first time after being released from prison, Brown told ABC News his four-year-long crime spree came to an end only because he tried to sell a camera he stole from the luggage of a CNN producer on E-bay but forgot to remove all of the news networks' identifying stickers.
"It became so easy, I got complacent," Brown said. Brown is one of almost 400 TSA officers who have been fired for stealing from passengers in the past decade. According to the TSA, 381 TSA officers have been fired for theft between 2003 and 2012, including 11 so far in this year.
Former TSA screener Pythias Brown was fired for stealing from passenger luggage at Newark airport.
In a statement to ABC News, the agency said it has "a zero-tolerance policy for theft and terminates any employee who is determined to have stolen from a passenger."
The agency disputes that theft is a widespread problem, however, saying the number of officers fired "represents less than one-half of one percent of officers that have been employed" by TSA.
Congressional critics say the theft problem is no surprise, given TSA's failure to do proper background checks on personnel hired to handle security screening.
"TSA is probably the worst personnel manager that we have in the entire federal government," said Rep. John Mica, R-Florida, chairman of the House Transportation Committee. "It is an outrage to the public and, actually, to our aviation security system," he said.
Assigned to screen luggage behind the ticket counters, Brown said he often worked alone, was told when overhead surveillance cameras to prevent theft were not working, and was never asked about suspicious behavior.
"It was so easy," said Brown, "I walked right out of the checkpoint with a Nintendo Wii in my hand. Nobody said a word."
He said he soon learned how to read the X-ray scans to find the most valuable items to steal.
"I could tell whether it was cameras or laptops or portable cameras or whatever kind of electronic was in the bag," Brown said.
At the time of his arrest, Brown was offering for sale some 80 cameras, video games and computers on his personal eBay page.
"It was like being on drugs, it was," he told ABC News. "I was like, 'What am I doing?' but the next day I was right back at it."
Brown described one instance when he got a tip off about complaints from passengers about thefts.
"One gentleman that used to work in the office one day came to me and said, 'They were talking about you in the office. Be careful.' I said, 'Okay.'"
Brown told ABC News he decided to go public and admit his crimes in an effort to warn airline passengers about what could happen with luggage screened by TSA.

Did 50 Cent And Diddy Almost Get Into A Fight?

Diddy and 50 Cent
It seems like everyone was fighting at the BET Hip-Hop Awards, because there was way too much confrontation.
An exclusive source tells us that 50 Cent and Diddy almost came to blows while they were backstage at the show. According to our source, Diddy and 50 were backstage laughing and joking with one another when things suddenly got serious. One of Diddy’s jokes hit too close to home with 50 Cent, and he called Diddy a “Bitch Ni**a.”

“It was crazy! They were joking with one another one minute, and the next minute, 50 Cent was all up in Diddy’s face calling him a b*tch ni**a.”
Fortunately, Diddy realized that he is too old for BS like that, and according to a Media Take Out snitch, got up and said that he has “too much money” for that and he left. 50 Cent must have been on one that night.

GOP V.P. CANDIDATE PAUL RYAN'S LACK OF SPECIFICS ON BUDGET PLANS PISSES OFF CHRIS WALLACE OF FOX NEWS SUNDAY

Fox News Sunday anchor Chris Wallace seen interviewing Paul Ryan and becomes increasingly frustrated with the GOP Vice Presidential candidate for lack of specifics on budget plan.
During his interview with Paul Ryan this morning, Chris Wallace grew frustrated with the vice presidential nominee’s explanation of the Romney/Ryan economic plan. Tackling the issue of tax cuts, Wallace confronted Ryan with the Obama campaign’s calculations, which Ryan deemed false. Asked to provide his own math, Ryan reverted to generalizations. Ryan said the campaign has offered specifics, but the problem is that many people don’t know those specifics. Giving him the chance to do just that, Wallace said, “Let’s talk specifics. You’re the master of the budget. So, briefly, let’s go through the plan.”
The Obama campaign says the Romney/Ryan 20-percent tax cut would cost $5 trillion over 10 years. Asked whether that’s true, Ryan said it isn’t “in the least bit.”
Wallace asked how much it would cost, then, and Ryan said it’s “revenue neutral.” Not satisfied with the response, Wallace repeated his question — and Ryan repeated his answer.
Ryan went on to note their campaign’s plan to close loopholes and limit deductions. Following his explanation, Wallace noted, “You haven’t given me the math.”
“I don’t have the — It would take me too long to go through all of the math,” Ryan replied. He continued:
But let me say it this way. You can lower tax rates 20 percent across the board by closing loopholes and still have preferences for the middle class for things like charitable deductions, home purchases, for health care. What we’re saying is, people are going to get lower tax rates and therefore they will not send as much money to Washington. And they’ll keep it and decide for themselves.
Despite Ryan’s repeated explanations, Wallace wasn’t able, in the end, to get any math.

6 YEAR OLD BEATS UP GYM TEACHER AND NOW THE FORMER COLLEGE FOOTBALL PLAYER IS SUING FOR STRESS

Rodrigo Carpio 6, first grader who's said to have caused 220 pound former college football player and current gym teacher John Webster to see a shrink for stress.
A hulking Queens gym teacher and former college football player claims a pupil fractured his ankle, injured his knee and forced him to go to a shrink for stress — even though the kid was only 50 pounds and in first grade.
Burly, 220-pound PS 330 teacher John Webster, 27, said a 4-foot-2 Rodrigo Carpio, 6, also kicked and pinched the Elmhurst school’s principal, a security officer and another teacher during a rampage in April.
“It’s sort of like an angel-devil sort of thing,” said the 5-foot-10 Webster, who recently filed a notice of his intent to sue the city and says he must now wear braces on his right ankle and knee.

‘HUMILIATING’: Gym teacher John Webster says he must now wear knee and ankle braces after Rodrigo Carpio injured him during a tantrum at their Queens school.

“[Rodrigo] looks like an angel, but then, all of a sudden, that halo turns into horns. It’s been a nightmare. It’s embarrassing. It’s humiliating.”
But Rodrigo’s dad, Jorge Carpio, 44, scoffed: “The lawsuit is totally absurd. How could my little boy do so much damage? My poor son.”
The boy’s mom added, “This is a terrible thing to say [about] a child.”
“To every mother, their child is an angel,” said Josefa Marcia da Silva, 33, of her son, now 4-foot-3 and 64 pounds. “I know that he has problems, but he doesn’t deserve to be called such names.”
But Webster’s claims are backed up by an April 26 school “occurrence report” filed by the principal that says Rodrigo “was physically aggressive” and karate-kicked Webster in the knee and ankle that day.
Webster was accompanying Rodrigo and other students to the cafeteria for lunch when the boy started horseplaying, the teacher reported to sources.
Webster said that he chided Rodrigo, but that the kid started kicking him.
“I tried to hold his wrists, and he began biting me,’’ Webster said. “I took him to the principal’s office, and he kicked me in the ankle, and one kick landed right on my knee. I felt a pop.’’
Rodrigo then kicked and pinched the acting principal and school safety officer, the occurrence report states.
NYPD responded but took no action. The boy’s parents refused to allow him to be taken to a hospital for observation.
Webster, who played tailback for upstate Morrisville State College, said his doctor told him he had to stay away from work for several months because of his physical and emotional state. But a Department of Education doctor told him to go back last month, so “I’m in limbo,’’ Webster said.
Meanwhile, Rodrigo is back at the school.
Webster’s lawyer, Andrew Siben of Bay Shore, LI, said school officials were repeatedly warned about Rodrigo but did not protect his client.
“This kid is clearly a tiny terror,” he said. “It’s sad that teachers like Mr. Webster are not offered protection from someone who can endanger other teachers and students.”
Rodrigo’s mom said her son is now on medication so he can focus.
“He is getting help, and he is much better now,” she said.
Both the school principal and the DOE declined to comment.
