Mike Tyson goes off on Canadian news anchorman Nathan Downey when called a convicted rapist as he appeared a televised program to promote his one-man show ­­Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth. But Downey, however, decided to question his chummy relationship with Toronto’s mayor, Rob Ford, who’s running for re-election.

“Some of your critics would say, ‘You know, there’s a race for mayor, we know you’re a convicted rapist, this could hurt his campaign,'” Downey said. “How would you respond to that?”

Again, how could anyone think asking that question was a good idea?

Luckily, Tyson limited his backlash to words, responding “I don’t know who said that, you’re the only one I heard say that.” The boxer continued, “And I don’t have no comment for that, because it’s negative and you’re being negative…and I met the mayor. And there’s nothing they can do about it.”

Needless to say that Tyson was no longer willing to engage with Downey afterwards. He also began spewing obscenities at the television personality, as the question appeared to sink in more as time passed.
