TRACY MORGAN |
The “30 Rock” star — who was left in critical condition after a speeding truck driver smashed into his limo van on June 7 — has been transferred from Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital to an undisclosed rehab center, according to publicist Lewis Kay.
Morgan is expected to stay at the rehab center for the next few weeks.
“While he is continuing to show signs of improvement, he still has a long way to go,” Kay said in a statement.
The actor was treated for several broken ribs and a broken leg at the New Brunswick, New Jersey, hospital.
Kevin Roper, the Walmart truck driver who caused the massive pile-up on the New Jersey Turnpike, pleaded not guilty to death-by-auto and assault charges.
The driver had been on the road for 9 hours and 37 minutes straight — and was doing 65 in a 45-mph zone — when he struck the comedian’s limo bus, according to a preliminary National Transportation Safety Board report.
Morgan’s friend and fellow comedian James McNair, 63, was killed in the horrific crash. Four other people, including Morgan, were injured.
