MICHAEL JORDAN & TINKER HATFIELD |
At the Terminal 23 gym, Michael Jordan himself and the shoe's designer, Tinker Hatfield, debuted a technically advanced sneaker that features a woven upper.
Air Jordan's 29th signature shoe features an updated version of the Flight Plate technology found on the previous model. But the big reveal is that it features what is being touted as the first-ever performance-woven upper.
Using an advanced weaving machine in Italy, Jordan Brand was able to create an upper that still provides structure and support as well as comfort. Along with high breathability, the Flight Web system also provides lockdown fit. There is also Nike Zoom Air cushioning and sweet stylistic touches like elephant print in the midsole.
Check out some exclusive photos from the launch in the gallery. Also, we prefer the black/orange colorway with the big Jumpman logo, but let us know what you think in the comments.
