Last night, Trinidad James was invited to perform at Converse Rubber Tracks alongside RATKING. Shortly after performing his verse on “Work (Remix),” the ATL rapper went on rant, speaking about his new album and stating it would come out next year.
The biggest piece of news came from his defense of Kendrick Lamar releasing quality music. That segued into the Def Jam signee claiming New York’s rap scene has fallen off and the only artists running it are from Atlanta.

Here’s Trinidad’s own take on the incident after the show on his Instagram account:

“I said a lot tonight in NY and people are prolly gonna take the negative and run with it but my main purpose in life only is to take care of my mama and keep my shoe game on “30 million”. Other than that if I can inspire a young person to be the best person they wanna be along the way….then cool. Nothing else matters.



Trinidad James has started some s**t! One NYC rapper in particular is not feeling this!

Maino was really feeling some type of way about TJ’s comments and how New York responded. “S/O to all the NY niggas who let this Rotten Teeth nigga @TrinidadJamesGG disrespect us lastnite!

#whathappened…” The, “What Happened” emcee then went on to tweet, “Somebody wake @TAXSTONE up tell’em this nasty mouth nigga @TrinidadJamesGG is on the menu. #whathappened.”

Well, TJ got wind of these tweets and had a response, but this is Maino…he wasn’t finished.
