HARLEM GLOBETROTTER ESCAPES DECAPITATION WHEN BASKET COMES CRASHING DOWN ON HIM

WILLIAM "BULL" BULLARD
According to his bio, Harlem Globetrotter player William "Bull" Bullard was invited by the New York Jets to their rookie camp in 2008. The hoopster clearly has the toughness of a football player based on what happened to him in a recent game in Honduras.
Watch as Bullard, a 6'4" 217-pound guard, embellishes an alley hoop by hanging onto the rim with his feet on the backboard. Seconds later, the stanchion gives way and crashes on top of the defenseless player.

Bullard suffered a nasty gash above his eye but he eventually walked off under his own power. The player, who made it to the Las Vegas finals of the TV show "American Ninja Warrior" in 2012, is even seen waving to the crowd and signing an autograph at the end of the video.

Bullard suffered a gash to his head and a dislocated shoulder. He was otherwise not seriously injured and returned to the court later, but did not play.
The Globetrotters, currently touring Central America, have been entertaining crowds since 1926 and have played more than 20,000 games worldwide.
