FASHION GIANT ALEXANDER MCQUEEN FLAGSHIP STORE IN NY BEING SUED FOR DISCRIMINATION

Alexander McQueen is being sued by a former Hispanic employee for discrimination while working in their flagship store in NYC’s Meatpacking District. Moselle Blanco, who worked at the 14th Street location for a decade, reports that she was fired after being accused of using and selling drugs to customers. Blanco claims that her manager subjected her to “a persistent barrage of offensive comments based on her race and national origin.”
When she complained to corporate and it allegedly resulted in her sale numbers being falsified and accusation of stealing inventory. In addition to the falsified reports, Blanco claims she was accused of being drunk at work, using drugs and selling drugs to customers when off work.

The label made a statement saying, “Alexander McQueen is committed to equality in the workplace, and we are proud of our diverse employee base. We take any allegations of this nature seriously and will always investigate them thoroughly, but we will not comment on individual cases.”

In addition to Blanco’s civil suit, two other former employees are claiming they were discriminated against as well.
