MANHATTAN BRIDGE |
The noisy electronic party, organized by Brooklynite Alexander Shlaferman, 19, was called Xandernation, and began about 9 p.m. on the walkway of the Manhattan bridge.
Organizers boasted on Facebook that the party is not allowed, and it will be held until the cops come to shut it down.
The page writes that Xandernation "is all about creating the most outrageous experiences in the moust outrageous places."
Hundreds of people can be seen crowded on the bridge having a raucous time in photos and videos posted on Instagram and other social media sites.
Shlaferman was charged with reckless endangerment, criminal nuisance, tresspassing, and disorderly conduct, as were Brendon Risano, 23, of Washingtonville and Giacomo Nacci, 20, of Salisbury Mills.
On his Facebook profile, Shlaferman bragged about his arrest, wearing it like a badge of honor.
"Worth every minute!" he wrote. "Lieutenant told us he hasn't seen anything like that in 15 years.
I told him 'thank you!'"
