L.A. REID TO STEP DOWN AS JUDGE ON X-FACTOR

Another shakeup has fallen upon the judges' panel on "The X Factor."
Record executive and "Factor" judge L.A. Reid, who has been with the American version of the singing competition since its inception, told Access Hollywood that he won't be back for the show's third season.
Reid cited his need to tend to Epic Records, where he serves as chairman and CEO.
"I have decided that I will not return to 'The X Factor' next year. I have to go back -- I have a company to run that I've kind of neglected." Reid told Access Hollywood's Shaun Robinson. "It saddens me a little bit, but only a little bit."
Fox, which airs "The X Factor," had no comment for TheWrap on Reid's decision.
Following the first season of "The X Factor," a major house-cleaning took place, with judges Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul being shown the door, along with host Steve Jones.
Scherzinger and Abdul were replaced by Britney Spears and Demi Lovato for the second season, with Khloe Kardashian and Mario Lopez coming aboard as hosts.
