Kevin Durant goes over to kiss lady who was hit by errant pass. |
But he was able to showcase his softer side at the same time.
With just over seven minutes to play in the third, Durant fired a cross-court pass that was too high and too fast for Thabo Sefolosha to bring down. The ball ended up drilling a fan sitting courtside, an elderly woman who likely didn’t even see it coming.
Without hesitation, Durant walked over to make sure she was OK, and gave her a kiss to let her know he was sorry.
As many times as we see these types of displays from Durant, they should never be taken for granted. He’s easily the most grounded and humble superstar in the game today, and actions like this are absolutely genuine and a reflection of who he is as a person.
There is no schtick, and no premeditation when Durant makes these gestures. He conducts himself off the court in the same way he does in the spotlight, and that’s truly a quality to be celebrated.
