LAB TECHNICIAN ARRESTED AFTER HE IS FOUND DRUNK WITH HIS PANTS DOWN... SURROUNDED BY MONKEYS

Arrested: Coley Mitchell was discovered sitting in a chair, half naked, in a locker room by a co-worker
A university lab technician was arrested after he was found intoxicated with his pants down surrounded by two monkeys who had been released from their cages.

Coley Mitchell was discovered by a co-worker sitting in a chair, half naked, in a locker room at Georgia Health Sciences University on August 13.

Two lab monkeys were found outside of their cages but were confined to the room.

When police officers asked the 32-year-old to leave the facility, he was aggressive and uncooperative. He was then arrested for public drunkenness and booked into the Richmond County Jail.

He was released on August 17th and has since been fired from his post as an animal services employee, according to the Huffington Post.

The monkeys were checked over by a veterinarian and were reportedly unharmed during the ordeal.

'No animals were harmed during the incident, but the university takes the allegations very seriously,' Jennifer hillard Scott, senior media relations coordinator, said in a statement.

"GHSU does not condone behavior that conflicts with the research, education and clinical missions of the university and employees are expected to conduct themselves, at all times, with integrity and respect.'
Location: The incident took place at the Georgia Health Sciences University's Sanders Research and Education building
