Dejamon Baker points out where she was tased by a police officer "I fell on the floor and I couldn't control myself I just kept on shaking and stuff," she said.
A 12-year-old girl was shot with a stun gun by a St. Louis county police officer who was attempting to arrest her mother at Victoria's Secret store, law enforcement said Wednesday.Authorities told the Daily News the officer was acting "within his discretion" during the July 25th incident. The girl "physically interceded" in the arrest of her mother, St. Louis county police spokesman Richard Eckhard said.
The girl, Dejamon Baker, showed NBC affiliate KSDK-TV two taser wounds, one on her chest and one on her stomach. She said she was not getting in the way and had no idea why the officer would use his stun gun on her.
"I was just crying. I guess he got mad because I was crying or something, then he just took it out and just tased me."
The officer had gone to the Victoria's Secret at the South County Center mall to arrest Baker's mother, Charlene Bratton, 27, for a series of outstanding warrants.
Charlene Bratton said the warrants were for traffic tickets and that when she asked the officer why she was being arrested, he wrestled her to the ground.

Eckhard said the young girl was taken into juvenile custody after the incident and her age was recorded as 15, not 12.
"No one denies this (the taser incident) happened or when it happened. It's how it transpired that is in question," he said.
Bratton said she intends to ask internal affairs to investigate.
"He (the officer) should have had enough control to tell her to get back instead of pulling out his gun. I guess he was nervous or whatever, and tasing people," she told KSDK.
