FLOYD MAYWEATHER'S OLDEST SON CALLS HIM A COWARD FOR NOT ADMITTING HE DOMESTICALLY ABUSED HIS MOTHER

FLOYD MAYWEATHER JR.
Undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s  son, Koraun has branded his famous fighting dad as a “coward” for not coming clean, after he witnessed him pummeling his mom, Josie Harris, four years ago.
In an article published in USA Today,  Mayweather’s oldest child, who is now 15, spoke with the newspaper with his mom’s permission about the terrifying chain of events that happened, the night he saw his father kicking and punching Harris and how he was the one, who alerted security about the beating, who then called police.

Harris claims to having been physically abused by Mayweather at least six times before the last brutal beating she received by him in September of 201o, the one that was witnessed by Koraun and for which Mayweather spent 60 days in prison.

According to the account in USA Today, even though the couple was apart at the time of the altercation, they had argued violently, after the champ had heard rumors about Harris dating another man.

Harris, the mother of three of Mayweather’s four children, had argued with her ex earlier in the evening on that fateful night in September. When police were summoned, the boxer exited the premises.  Hours later, at about 4 a.m. when Harris had fallen asleep on her couch, Mayweather returned with an associate James McNair.  Koraun, who was awake at the time went to the door and saw it was his dad.  Mayweather insisted that the child let him into the home and he did.

Harris was reportedly awakened by Mayweather shouting and yanking her hair.   During the heated altercation between his parents at Harris’ Las Vegas home, Koraun told the newspaper, his father instructed him to go to his room, lock the door and not budge.  Having already seen his mom being brutalized by his dad, said Koraun,”I sat there and thought about what I was going to do next. Just for like a minute.”

When Koraun, who was then 11 years old, tried to go for help via the front door, his efforts were thwarted by McNair. “I ran and I tried to go through the front door to go to the (security) gate.   But then his friend (McNair) came through the door and blocked off the stairway for me to go through,” said the teen.

With no easy way out of the home, Koraun had to think quickly, so he said he escaped via a bathroom window in an effort to get help for his mom.

Four years later, Koraun, who sees his dad every once in a while, is still dealing with the trauma of witnessing his dad beating up his mother. The boxer continues to deny the events took place.

The young boy told USA Today, in no uncertain terms, that the great boxing legend, his dad, “is a coward.”

Mayweather was handed down a 90-day prison sentence for the Harris incident, of which he served two months. It was one of seven assaults that the  highest-earning athlete in sports has allegedly committed against five different women, each resulting in him being arrested or issued a citation.

Last month, his former fiancée, Shantel Jackson, filed a civil lawsuit including allegations of battery, false imprisonment and claims that Mayweather pointed a gun at her.
