MAN IMPERSONATING COP BUSTED AFTER PULLING OVER A REAL POLICE OFFICER

JONATHAN STEVENS
A man from Florida, US, has been arrested for allegedly impersonated a police officer.

Unfortunately for him, he pulled over a real cop who saw through the disguise.

"The officer was suspicious. It just didn't seem right to her," Tampa Police Department spokesperson Andrea Davis told Fox 13.

Police say Jonathan Stevens, 24, was arrested late Sunday after flagging down the officer with flashing red and blue lights on his SUV.

Stevens, wearing a badge around his neck, said he was a Department of Homeland Security officer who had a Glock .45-caliber handgun and wanted to report a reckless driver, according to the Tampa Tribune.

The officer discovered that Stevens' vehicle was not one belonging to police or a government agency and Stevens later admitted he was not a police officer, the newspaper reported.

He was charged with impersonating a police officer, unlawful use of blue lights and carrying a concealed firearm.

Stevens was released Monday morning after posting $17,500 bail.
