50 CENT |
The Queens, New York, native is claiming that the court ruled against him because he's black and a hip hop artist, according to TMZ.
After pulling the plug on a deal with Sleek Audio in May 2011, 50 Cent, who was born Curtis Jackson, claimed the company owed him over $261,000.
Although Sleek denied his claims, the case went into arbitration in which the arbitrator chooses who wins. The court sided with Sleek.
Now, the "In da Club" rapper is seeking for the ruling to be overturned due to discrimination. Fifty is taking the case to federal court, and he claims that due to the prior judges' racist beliefs the 38-year-old entertainer was unable to present evidence pertaining to the case and was unable to cross-examine witnesses.
While he awaits a new hearing, Sleek is calling 50's racist claims out as a desperate move to avoid the previous judgment.
