2013 JORDAN BRAND CLASSIC GAME RECAP AT THE BARCLAY'S CENTER IN BROOKLYN

Jordan Brand Classic

The 2013 Jordan Brand Classic gave Brooklyn a show at the Barclay’s. In no way did this game disappoint any of the spectators on the Net’s home floor.
Arguably the best young talent in the country went back and forth the whole game. There were 19 lead changes, and 14 tied scores in this tightly competitive game.

Defense Intensity In An All-Star Game
Down the stretch both teams picked up their defensive intensity. Both coaches made it a point to make sure their squads mad an emphasis on the defensive end to keep the game competitive in the end.
In fact, overall the defense was surprisingly good for an All-Star game.
“The whole week they were stressing competing” said Julius Randle Co-MVP and Kentucky bound freshman.”That’s why there was so much defense”
Co-MVP’s Were Impressive
Randle had an impressive game showcasing his athleticism and skill. He deservedly won Co-MVP going 8-11 for 19 points and grabbing 7 boards in 20 mins of play.
Jabari Parker definitely made his presence felt on both ends of the floor. Parker finished the game going 8-13 from the floor for 16 points, grabbed 7 boards, 2 steals and one block.
Notable Performances
Despite not winning the MVP, Andrew Wiggins the number one consensus player in the class of 2013 was impressive none the less. Wiggins gave us a few exciting plays by displaying his incredible athleticism. Wiggins will be arguably the most exciting player in college basketball next year. We just have to wait and see where he goes to play.
The biggest surprise from the game for me was Tyler Ennis. The point guard proved he is one of the top players at his position in the nation. Ennis showcased his well-rounded game that will be on display for Syracuse fans next year. He finished with 14 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds, and 4 steals.
These young stars while have me pay more attention to college basketball next season.
