FUJIFILM WATERPROOF XP 200
Fujifilm announced two new cameras today, the waterproof XP200 and S8400W superzoom. The two cameras join the host of point-and-shoot and bridge cameras that the company has already announced this year.

The XP200 has a funky design that should be easy to hold onto underwater.
First off is the XP200, a brand new adventure cam designed to handle all manner of abuse. The Finepix XP200 will feature a new 16-megapixel sensor with sensor shift image stabilization. That is paired up with a 5x optical zoom lens and the usual dustproof, waterproof (to 50 feet), shockproof, coldproof credentials.. Fuji has endowed this camera with some other tricks as well—Advanced filters (adding Toy Camera, Pop Color and the like as found on other Fujifilm cameras), a 3.0" LCD around back, and a 10fps burst mode with dedicated button.

The XP200 has a mode dial on the side of the camera and plenty of control around back.
The casing of the camera has been slightly redesigned from earlier Fuji waterproof cameras, adding a mode dial on the side, two exaggerated stereo microphones to the front and a swath of chunky rubber around the bottom and sides. Users can pick from four colors (black, yellow, blue, and red) at launch.

The S8400W’s headline feature is its 44x optical zoom lens.
The Fujifilm S8400W will enter Fuji’s already crowded stable of bridge cameras. The AA-powered superzoom has built-in Wi-Fi, a 16-megapixel backside-illuminated CMOS sensor, and a new, 44X zoom lens (f/2.9-6.5, 24-1056mm 35mm equivalent). Outwardly, the S8400W keeps the exact same body and design as the Fujifilm S8200/S8300 twins, providing a solid grip to help steady things when using the expansive zoom lens..

The S840W has a 3-inch LCD and a rather low resolution EVF for framing.
The XP200 and S8400W are both expected to be available starting in May. The XP200 will be priced starting at $299.95 while the S8400W will set you back $349.95. To see the full specifications for both of today’s announcements you can head over to Fujifilm’s showcase.
