Toronto Raptors guard Terrence Ross won Saturday night's NBA slam dunk contest, becoming the first rookie to win the competition since Josh Smith in 2005.
Matched up against Utah Jazz forward Jeremy Evans in the final round, Ross picked up 58 percent of the fan vote to win the competition. His final two dunks included an homage to Raptors great and current Dallas Mavericks guard Vince Carter, and a dunk over the son of Twitter CEO Dick Costolo.
Evans had arguably the most original dunk of the night. The contest's runner-up jumped over a painting he drew of himself to throw down a thunderous left-handed windmill dunk.

Evans told reporters after the contest that he had "just finished [the painting] last night," as he hadn't previously known what the dunk contest basketball would look like, or what sneakers he was going to wear.
Earlier on All-Star Saturday, Cleveland Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving backed up a 32-point performance in Friday's Rising Stars Challenge by winning the three-point contest. Irving scored 23 points in the final round to beat San Antonio Spurs forward Matt Bonner.

And Portland Trail Blazers rookie Damian Lillard joined fellow neophytes Irving and Ross as a winner on All-Star Saturday, taking home the Taco Bells Skills Challenge.
