The stripper who plunged over a balcony at Cleveland, Ohio gentleman’s club while giving a lap dance has died as a result of her injuries.
Lauren Block, 22, passed away on Wednesday, nearly one week after suffering a severe head injury during a fall at the Christie’s Cabaret, MetroHealth Medical Center said.
Witnesses to the accident said that Block lay motionless after she tumbled over a second-story railing at the nightclub, her face covered in blood.
In the police report of the incident, Pasquale Storino, 25, told police that Block had been giving him a lap dance when “she tried to complete some sort of dance jump/dance move,” and fell, according to NewsChannel 5.
Block was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center in the early morning hours of Jan. 3 and was listed in critical condition.
“We would like to thank the community for their outpouring of support and prayers for Lauren,” the family said in a statement.
“She has passed away but is an organ donor, and we hope this will enable her to save many lives and live on through others. We would like to express our gratitude to the staff at MetroHealth. They worked tirelessly to do all they could to save her life. We ask that the media respect our privacy during this difficult time. We know that she’s in God’s hands."
