It was a Melo Meltdown that raged on after the final buzzer when the Knicks star confronted the Celtics by their locker room.
Anthony spent more time yapping at Kevin Garnett in a running fourth-quarter feud than making shots, and it cost the Knicks in a discouraging 102-96 loss to the Celtics at the Garden.
After the game, Anthony may have risked suspension when he walked off the court without shaking hands and darted to the tunnel that leads to the visitor’s locker room. He waited for the Celtics players to arrive and began shouting at several of them.
According to a source, a couple of Knicks players dragged Anthony away from the scene before the incident escalated. Anthony was also overheard telling Garnett on the court he would see him afterward.
CSNNE.com posted video footage of Anthony waiting for Garnett by the Celtics bus. It was reported the two got into a shouting match and Knicks coach Mike Woodson persuaded Anthony to leave the area.
