A Texas man snubbed by his online loves allegedly took revenge by creating fake profiles for the women, including one used to correspond with prisoners looking for “cell pals.”
Carl Wayne McGraw, of Humble, was charged with online impersonation of two women, the Houston Chronicle reported Tuesday.
Court documents from Harris County District Court say the 30-year-old met one of the women online last October. But when the romance went sour after a couple of months, McGraw allegedly made up a new account for himself called “Bryan Smiles.”
He tried to set up a date with the woman, but she canceled, which reportedly ticked him off.
So he created several fake profiles for her, police investigators said, one in which she was referred to as a “porn star.”
The account also said she was a “very sexual person and loves sex,” according to The Chronicle.
It even included personal information, such as her home and work addresses.
In the second incident, McGraw allegedly hacked into another woman’s e-mail when their relationship ended after five months.
According to MyFoxHouston.com, the woman had already caught him in “multiple lies.” She later found out she was signed up for CellPals.com, a prison pen pal organization.
As a result, the woman said, she received letters from prisoners in Texas and Illinois.
In addition, she also complained that McGraw had created a Facebook account in her name, and in March, he allegedly used it to correspond with one of her family members, The Chronicle said.
When an aunt wrote the fake account, thinking it was the woman, McGraw allegedly messaged back, “Yes, This account is still very much active thank you very much and you can go (expletive) off now, I will now add you to my blocked list where you cannot bother me anymore!”
McGraw remains a suspect, but had not been arrested as of Tuesday, according to reports.
