Drug Tunnel to Mexico Could Be One of Largest Drug Bust in U.S. History
United States Authorities say the bust of a drug-tunnel based out of a warehouse in the San Diego area could be one of the largest drug busts in U.S. history.
The warehouse building is linked to Tijuana Mexico and officials say they've found 32 tons of marijuana so far.
The tunnel runs 600-yards and U.S. authorities say it has a hydraulic lift, electric rail cars, a wooden staircase and wood floors from one end to the other. The tunnel is also lit and ventilated.
Investigators say the tunnel is tall and wide enough for "comfortable" movement inside.
Several arrests have been made so far and authorities believe that operations in the tunnel began fairly recently.
