DJ Mustard is experiencing the ‘I made and now they hate me’ blues. A lawsuit have been filed against the Californian producer, claiming some of his biggest hits was not solely created by him. This coming from a former friend.
Lawsuit was filed by Mike Free, music maker and former friend of DJ Mustard. Mike alleges that he and Mustard worked together to create some huge hits; biggest of all and Mustard’s break-out record being Tyga’s “Rack City” He’s alleging that while he had the ideas to make the music, DJ Mustard, real name Dijon McFarlane has the networking.
Apparently, Free Mike too had a hand in 2 Chainz’ “I’m Different,” “Don’t Tell ‘Em” by Jeremih and “I Don’t F**k With You” by Big Sean, but that wasn’t noticed. All-in-all, this guy wants his money. The lawsuit states that he’s lacking in royalties and credit given where credit is due. Time to pay up.
Let’s see how this plays out in the court system. Especially since the ‘Mike Free’ I found on social media is a HUGE supporter of Mustard; at least as of 10 Summers, a 12-track release form Mustard
