HEATS HARLEM SHAKE MAKES WAVES

With LeBron James in a king's costume, Mario Chalmers dressed as Super Mario, and Chris "Birdman" Andersen mimicking - what else? - a bird, the Heat version of the dance craze was released Thursday.

It was film in Miami's locker room, with James saying it was a "King James and DwyaneWade" production.

The dance is to the song of the same name, and countless videos have popped up where one person starts dancing, then the camera cuts to a large group of people dancing, many in costume.

The Heat have also gotten widespread attention lately for their pregame-warmup dunk contests, videos of which have also gone viral.

STEPHEN CURRY TORCHES NEW YORK KNICKS FOR LEAGUE HIGH 54 POINTS IN LOSS

Curry torches Knicks for 54 in loss
STEPHEN CURRY GOES TO THE BASKET AGAINST NEWLY ACQUIRED KENYON MARTIN
Stephen Curry rose for another jumper, and by then even the Knicks probably figured it would go in.
Curry had hardly missed in a scintillating second half of the NBA's most electric performance this season, the crowd cheering even before the ball left his hands.
This time, Raymond Felton jumped with him, making the play New York needed to finally withstand Curry.
Felton's blocked shot led to J.R. Smith's tiebreaking basket with 1:10 left, and the Knicks overcame Curry's NBA season-high 54 points to beat the Golden State Warriors 109-105 on Wednesday night.
Curry was 18 of 28 from the field, finishing one shy of the NBA record with 11 3-pointers in 13 attempts, in a performance that had the crowd hanging on his every shot. But the Knicks and Felton finally stopped him with 1:28 to play and the score tied at 105.
''My main thing is to keep playing. Like I said, once a guy gets it going like that, there's nothing I can really do. I've still got to stay in my mindset, still play my game, and I was still able to come up with some big plays at the end,'' Felton said. ''We all came up with some big plays to get that win.''
Carmelo Anthony followed Smith's basket with another one and the Knicks hung on to spoil former Knicks star and Warriors coach Mark Jackson's homecoming.
Anthony finished with 35 points and Smith had 26.
''We made the defensive stops we needed to make down the stretch,'' Knicks coach Mike Woodson said.
Playing all 48 minutes, Curry finished with seven assists and six rebounds while passing his previous career best of 42 points, and Kevin Durant's 52-point performance that had been the best in the NBA this season.
''I felt good all night. Obviously played the whole game, so was just trying to keep my legs underneath me on the offensive end, and you know, just stick to the game on the defensive end,'' Curry said. ''Once I started seeing that 3-ball go down in transition, all sorts of spots on the floor, I knew it was going to be a good night.''
But he had little help without All-Star forward David Lee, who was suspended one game for his role in an altercation Tuesday night in Indiana.
DAVID LEE WAS SUSPENDED FOR SCUFFLE WILL ROY HIBBERT

Tyson Chandler had 16 points and a career-best 28 rebounds for the Knicks, who won their second straight after a season-high, four-game losing streak. Amare Stoudemire had 14 points and Anthony added eight assists on the day the Knicks learned they could be without reserve forward Rasheed Wallace for the rest of the season because he needs surgery to repair a broken bone in his left foot.
Strutting all over the court whenever one of his 3s swished easily through the nets, Curry easily blew past the 38 points he scored Tuesday in Indiana, which had been his best of the season. That was spoiled when he was fined $35,000 for his role in the skirmish, which was essentially getting thrown to the ground by Roy Hibbert when he tried to intervene.
This performance - the most points by an NBA player in a loss since Kobe Bryant had 58 in a loss to Charlotte on Dec. 29, 2006 - was spoiled along with Jackson's trip back to his old home because of a few mistakes down the stretch.
Curry threw away a pass on the break with 3:13 left, and Jarrett Jack was called for a travel following Smith's go-ahead basket.
Plus, Klay Thompson finished 3 of 13 from the field, missing two straight from deep in the final minute.
Jackson, who grew up in Brooklyn and starred at St. John's before being drafted by the Knicks in 1987, didn't get a chance to coach here last season as an NBA rookie on the bench because of the lockout. He brought his wife, Desiree, to a road game for the first time this season, had his mother in the stands, and got a chance to see people he remembered from playing here years earlier.
He said he hadn't gotten to look ahead much to the game because of the schedule, but clearly enjoyed being back in Madison Square Garden once the day did arrive.
''This is a special place and it was part of my dreams as a kid,'' he said.
His night turned into Curry's, fans cheering even before the ball left his hand in the second half.
''We were short-handed and we needed a performance like that to have a chance,'' Jackson said. ''He put on a clinic. Knocked down shots. Made plays. Carried us. Led us in rebounding. He did it all. I've seen a lot of great performances in this building and his goes up there. I've seen a lot. I've seen a lot, but that shooting performance was a thing of beauty.''
The Knicks, who hadn't played since Sunday, looked ready to blow the Warriors out early, taking a 25-11 lead that the Warriors trimmed to 27-18 at the end of the first period before surging ahead behind Curry.
He scored 12 straight Golden State points, cutting it to 35-34 with his third 3-pointer of the second quarter. He followed Richard Jefferson's 3 with another one, giving the Warriors a 40-37 advantage. The Knicks recovered and went back ahead by nine late in the period before Curry answered with six consecutive points, and New York's lead was 58-55 at the break.
''He's a special young player with a very unique talent,'' Chandler said. ''We ran everything at him. He just got hot. There was some shots that he couldn't have seen the rim.''
Curry's drive gave the Warriors a two-point lead three minutes into the third quarter, but he didn't score again until hitting a turnaround 3 from 27 feet with 5 seconds left in the period, giving him 38 points again and cutting New York's lead to 84-81.
Already without Andrew Bogut because of a back injury, the Warriors had little size without Lee. Their lineup at one point in the second quarter had nobody taller than 6-foot-9 and Chandler simply climbed over them all night.
He came in leading the league with 4.4 offensive rebounds per game, and grabbed 13 boards in the first quarter alone.
Notes: Chandler was also the last NBA player to grab 13 rebounds in one quarter, hauling in 14 in the third quarter for Dallas on Dec. 1, 2010. ... Wallace, who hasn't played since December, will have surgery this week and the expected recovery time is eight weeks. Woodson said he didn't plan to waive the 38-year-old forward and create a roster spot, instead hoping he could be able to play in the postseason. ... Kenyon Martin, signed last week in part because of the uncertainty around Wallace, made his Knicks debut and was scoreless in 5 first-half minutes.

TYLER THE CREATOR IS UP TO NO GOOD AGAIN AS HE PHOTO BOMBS DONALD TRUMP

Taco, Donald Trump, and Tyler, the Creator
Tyler, the Creator is up to more trouble. During his visit to “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,” Odd Future’s mischievous frontman crashed a photo between his OF groupmate Taco and Donald Trump. In the funny photobomb, he lifted his shirt and stuck out his tongue.
The real estate tycoon later saw the pic on Instagram and tweeted, “Guy in front asked for picture- said he was the biggest fan, never saw the guy in back.”
The next morning, a tired Tyler was a guest on “Cipha Sounds and Rosenberg Show with K Foxx.” He spoke about taking “selfies” with J.Lo, Jack White, and Big Sean at the Grammys and Frank Ocean’s performance, which received mixed reviews.
“I actually liked that version of ‘Forrest Gump’ better than the actual song that’s on the CD,” he said. “Everyone thinks I’m crazy, but that was my favorite Frank performance.”
Even Frank thought he was joking. “I told him, ‘Yo, that shit was tight.’ And he was like, ‘Oh, you’re being sarcastic, asshole.’ He told me he thought it could have been better and stuff.”
Plus, he discussed his upcoming album Wolf and the use of the N-word.

OPENLY GAY MAYORAL CANDIDATE IS FOUND DEAD IN MISSISSIPPI, FOUL PLAY IS SUSPECTED

MAYORAL CANDIDATE MARCO MCMILLAN
Marco McMillian, a candidate for mayor of Clarksdale, Miss., who may have been the first viable openly gay candidate for public office in Mississippi, was found dead on a river levee Wednesday morning.

JACKSON, Miss. — A Mississippi mayoral candidate was found dead Wednesday and the case is being investigated as a homicide, authorities said.
Coahoma County Coroner Scotty Meredith said the body of 34-year-old Marco McMillian was found on the Mississippi River levee Wednesday at about 10 a.m.
The 34-year-old McMillian was running for mayor of Clarksdale, a Blues hub where actor and Mississippi native Morgan Freeman co-owns a music club with Bill Luckett, who also is running for mayor.
Meredith said the body was found between Sherard and Rena Lara and was sent to Jackson for an autopsy. He declined to provide further details or speculate on the cause of death.
The sheriff's office said Wednesday in a news release on its Facebook page that a person of interest was in custody, but had not been formally charged.
The department also said authorities had been looking for McMillian since a man crashed the candidate's car into another vehicle on Tuesday. McMillian was not in the car. The sheriff's office said deputies responded to the two-car crash on U.S. Highway 49 South near the Coahoma and Tallahatchie county lines on Tuesday at about 8 a.m.
Will Rooker, a spokesman for the sheriff's office, declined to release other details. He said the investigation is ongoing.
McMillian was a Democrat. Campaign spokesman Jarod Keith said McMillian's campaign was noteworthy because he may have been the first openly gay man to be a viable candidate for public office in Mississippi.
McMillian's campaign said in a statement that words cannot describe "our grief at the loss of our dear friend."
"We remember Marco as a bold and passionate public servant, whose faith informed every aspect of his life," the statement said.
The Gay & Lesbian Victory Fund and Institute, which supports gay and lesbian candidates for political office, tweeted, "Our hearts go out to the family and friends of Marco McMillian, one of the 1st viable openly #LGBT candidates in Mississippi."
McMillian was CEO of MWM & Associates, described on its website as a consulting firm for nonprofit organizations. He had recently served as international executive director of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc.
Jimmy Hammock, the fraternity's international president, praised McMillian in a Facebook post for making "an incredible difference in his community and in Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity."
A statement from the historically black fraternity said he had secured the first federal contract to "raise the awareness of the adverse impact of HIV/AIDS on communities of color for the Fraternity." It noted that Ebony magazine had recognized him in 2004 as one of the nation's 30 up-and-coming African-Americans under age 30.
McMillian also worked at Alabama A&M University and Jackson State University in the past. Photos on McMillian's website appear to show him with a younger Barack Obama and with U.S. Rep. John Lewis, the Georgia Democrat.

FORMER WNBA PLAYER CHAMIQUE HOLDSCLAW HAS BEEN INDICTED FOR 2012 SHOOTING IN ATLANTA

FORMER WNBA PLAYER CHAMIQUE HOLDSCLAW 35
Former WNBA player and Olympic gold medalist Chamique Holdsclaw is being indicted in a November 2012 shooting in Atlanta, prosecutors said Wednesday.
A six-count indictment charges Holdsclaw, 35, with aggravated assault, criminal damage and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, Fulton County District Attorney's spokeswoman Yvette Jones said Wednesday.
HOLDSCLAW'S EX-GIRLFRIEND TULSA SHOCK PLAYER JENNIFER LACY 29

Holdsclaw was arrested after an argument with Tulsa Shock player Jennifer Lacy, 29, who told police she was Holdsclaw's ex-girlfriend. The two were also Atlanta Dream teammates in 2009. Holdsclaw broke the windows to Lacy's car and shot at it Nov. 13, 2012, police said. No one was injured.
After a late-November court appearance, one of Holdsclaw's attorneys said he talked with Lacy and they were trying to resolve the case.
''They are still friends and we expect the alleged victim to support a proper resolution of this,'' said Edward Garland, an attorney representing Holdsclaw. ''In no way did she use the gun to threaten or assault the alleged victim, or do so with a baseball bat.''
He acknowledged that Holdsclaw caused damage to Lacy's car, but said his client never intended to hurt her.

''Sometimes charges get made that exceed the scope of the actual events,'' Garland said, adding that he and his client plan to resolve the case without it going to trial.
Holdsclaw is out on $100,000 bond and a court date has not been scheduled.
Holdsclaw led the University of Tennessee to three consecutive national championships from 1996-98 before beginning a pro career that included six WNBA All-Star selections.
She also played on the U.S. Olympic team that won the gold medal in the 2000 Games. She had 3,025 career points at Tennessee and remains the Southeastern Conference's career scoring leader.
In September, Holdsclaw returned to her alma mater to discuss her fight with clinical depression, which included a suicide attempt during her pro career.
Holdsclaw recounted how she attempted suicide in 2006 as a member of the Los Angeles Sparks by overdosing on the medication she was taking for clinical depression. She also wouldn't leave her Washington home for a few days in 2004, two years after the death of the grandmother who raised her.

STUDY THAT PROVES RACIAL WEALTH GAP IS WIDENING YEARS AFTER THE CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT

The Great Recession has widened the wealth gap, and race is a major factor.

Years after the civil rights movement, racial inequality continues to deepen.
The wealth gap between white and African-American families has nearly tripled over 25 years, according to a study released today by the Institute on Assets and Social Policy at Brandeis University.
Although African-American family income has increased over time, white families have accumulated much more wealth. By tracking families, the study found that the gap between white and African-American family wealth increased from $85,070 in 1984 to $236,500 in 2009.
Many Americans still believe that racial inequality is related to individual behavior, choices, character, marriage and child bearing, says Thomas Shapiro, IASP director. But homeownership has been the biggest cause of racial wealth disparity, followed by income, the study found. In the past 25 years, education has failed to be the great equalizer that many expected.
Owning a home has largely benefited white families because they're more able to have family financial assistance for down payments, have easier access to credit and buy homes years earlier than African-American families. As a result, their home equity has increased, providing more wealth and financial security.
In contrast, the study found, African Americans are more recent homeowners who tended to have high-risk mortgages and to be more vulnerable to home foreclosure.
The nation has long-standing roots in racial discrimination in hiring, training and promotion, and in the past 25 years, that has made it harder for African Americans to build income and have a financial cushion, fueling racial inequality, the study says.
Study as of 2012 CNN Money
Although more African Americans are going to college, fewer finish with a degree than white students. The skyrocketing cost of education is contributing to the racial gap in college completion, Shapiro says. Among graduates, more blacks than whites are weighed down by student debt.
The Great Recession has worsened the widening wealth gap. The bursting of the housing bubble followed by the economic crisis and unemployment caused African Americans to fall further behind, says Rakesh Kochhar, a researcher at the Pew Research Center. They were more likely to be unemployed and had to draw down on existing savings to make ends meet.
In recent years, black Americans have been less likely than whites to have a workplace retirement plan, according to new research by University of California, Berkeley. They rely more heavily on Social Security than whites, and poverty rates among black seniors was 19.4%, compared with 9.4% for the general senior population between 2008 and 2010, says the UC Berkeley study.
It will be hard to close the racial wealth gap without broad changes, IASP says. Among other things, it suggests that policymakers and advocates come together to develop more affordable and high-quality education and diverse neighborhoods -- eliminating the persistence of residential segregation.

SAN FRANSICO 49ERS QB WILL BE TRADED TO THE KANSAS CITY CHIEFS FOR 2 DRAFT PICKS

QB ALEX SMITH IS HEADED TO KANSAS CITY FOR 2 DRAFT PICKS
The San Francisco 49ers have agreed to trade quarterback Alex Smith to the Kansas City Chiefs, league sources confirmed
Kansas City will trade its second-round pick in the 2013 draft -- the second selection (No. 34 overall) in the round -- as well as another conditional mid-round pick in 2014 to acquire Smith from San Francisco, a league source told ESPN.
The 49ers now own 11 picks in the 2013 draft.
As a result of the trade, the Chiefs are expected to release former starting quarterback Matt Cassel, league sources told ESPN. Cassel has two years remaining on a $63 million, six-year deal he signed with Kansas City after he was acquired in a trade from the Patriots in 2009. He failed to live up to the lofty contract, however, and was benched during the 2012 season.
At this point, Smith will play under terms of his remaining contract, which calls for a guaranteed base salary of $8.5 million in 2013. There has been no discussions between the Chiefs and Smith's representatives about negotiating a new contract.
49ers left tackle Joe Staley, one of Smith's closest friends on the team, said in a text to ESPN NFL Insider Ed Werder that he was happy the quarterback will get a chance to play with his trade to Kansas City.
"I am happy he is going to get a shot to play somewhere. He is too talented not to. Will miss him on our squad but will still be close wherever he goes. Happy for his new opportunity," he wrote in the text.

49ers tight end Vernon Davis, who developed a great on-field chemistry with Smith in the team's passing game, also wished the quarterback the best with his new team in another text to Werder.

He wrote: "I will miss him dearly and wish him the best as he starts something new. I'm sure everything will work in his favor. He is definitely a great player who I strongly believe had a big impact on my career. Love you Alex!"
The trade can't be officially completed until March 12 when the 2013 league year begins.
The trade agreement was first reported by Fox Sports.
Smith, the 2005 No. 1 overall draft pick, lost his starting job to Colin Kaepernick while sitting out with a concussion but was professional at every turn and continued to mentor his replacement.
Before his injury, Smith had completed 26 of his last 28 passes -- including going 18-of-19 for 232 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions in a "Monday Night Football" win at Arizona on Oct. 29.

He then sustained a concussion in the second quarter of the 49ers' next game, a 24-24 tie against St. Louis on Nov. 11. Smith sat out the next game as Kaepernick dazzled in his debut as an NFL starter, beating the Bears handily at home on "Monday Night Football." Smith didn't start again last season.
The 28-year-old quarterback has thrown for 14,280 yards with 81 touchdowns and 63 interceptions in 80 career games.
The Chiefs hired cAndy Reid as their new coach this offseason after a 2-14 season that led to the dismissals of coach Romeo Crennel and general manager Scott Pioli but earned Kansas City the No. 1 overall pick.

TRANSPARENT CELL PHONE BY POLYTRON TECHNOLOGIES PROMISED TO HAPPEN BY THE END OF 2013

Transparent cell phone 'will happen near the end of 2013' promises tech company
Taiwan-based Polytron Technologies may have the next leap forward in cell phones, promising a transparent mobile by the end of 2013. The company has already begun marketing a transparent multi-touch.
The company's prototype uses what they call Switchable Glass technology. That's a conductive OLED using liquid crystal molecules to display images.
When the phone is off the molecules align to form a milky composition, but when switched on they realign to form text, icons, and other images.
Electric current is carried through transparent wires.
'It will happen near the end of 2013. Trust me,' said Polytron general manager Sam Yu.

The device still has some parts that are not transparent, including a SD card and SIM card. The microphone, camera, and batteries are also visible, and will be hidden behind a dark glass cover when the model goes into production.
Yu said the company will develop a smaller lithium ion battery that would be much less noticeable.
phone
Cutting edge: The phone uses a technology called Switchable Glass and liquid crystal molecules to display images
When complete, the phone will have a dual-sided multi-touch display in front and back.
The prototype has yet to feature any software or operating system. Still to be determined is what the market demand for such a device is. Samsung and LG have had large transparent displays for years, but there's been little effort to make smaller devices. Tokyoflash recently used a transparent LCD in its Kisai Spider wristwatch but had trouble adding hardware to the smaller frame. 'The challenge of using a transparent display in a wristwatch, and I suppose other wearable technology, is that you need to store the batteries somewhere else (usually they are stored behind the LCD panel),' Tokyoflash marketing manager Paul Cooper wrote in a e-mail.
phone
Good looking: Noticeable hardware will be covered with a dark glass to keep the phone aesthetically pleasing
Polyton's model will offer much more room to work in hardware. Also at question is whether transparency by itself will attract buyers, as the prototype doesn't offer significantly different functions than most smartphones.
'Display quality is paramount,' Avi Greengart, research director at Current Analysis, told The Verge. 'If the display quality is not up to par with the best of today’s AMOLED and LCD screens, a phone using it won’t sell even for its novelty value.'
Yu isn't worried. He even plans to announce a prototype transparent tablet within the next couple weeks.

(VIDEO) FOX NEWS SEAN HANNITY RIPPED ON AIR BY DEMOCRAT REP. KEITH ELLISON AND CALLS HIM "WORST EXCUSE OF A JOURNALIST"

Hannity is the "worst excuse of a journalist" according to Rep. Keith Ellison. On Feb. 27, the Washington Post reported that Ellison ripped Sean Hannity and his craft and his comments are causing a stir amongst Hannity supporters.

Hannity and Ellison came face to face on Tuesday night and that's when the battle of words ensued. Hannity commented on the Democratic Party's failure to stay on message and that's when Ellison let it rip. "You’re pretty good at it too. Quite frankly, you are the worst excuse for a journalist I’ve ever seen. It’s absurd that you — the worst," Ellison said on cable news --and his comments didn't stop there.

The Hannity "worst excuse" comment was just the beginning of Ellison's tirade. "What you just displayed was not journalism; it was yellow journalism. It wasn’t anything close to trying to tell the American people what’s really going on. Every journalistic ethic I have ever heard of was just violated by you," Ellison said.

Tension was undoubtedly in the air and things did not get any easier. Ellison did not back down at all, talking over Hannity and keeping an upper hand throughout the duration of the debate. As you can imagine, Ellison is being praised by Dems and "Hanni-haters" today.

Is Hannity the "worst excuse of a journalist" as Ellison said?

MIKE KRZYZEWSKI STEPS DOWN AS TEAM USA'S MENS BASKETBALL COACH AFTER WINNING TWO GOLD MEDALS

MIKE KRZYZEWSKI STEPS DOWN FROM TEAM USA BASKETBALL AS HEAD COACH
Mike Krzyzewski said again Tuesday he doesn't plan to return as U.S. men's basketball coach after leading the Americans to two Olympic gold medals.
Saying "my stance hasn't changed," Krzyzewski told ESPN Radio he expects USA Basketball to name a new coach this summer.
The Hall of Fame Duke coach said during and after last summer's Olympics that he wasn't planning to return to the position he's held with the national team since 2005. However, he still hasn't confirmed that decision with USA Basketball chairman Jerry Colangelo, who has said they will talk after the college season.
"I've loved, loved, loved, and it's been an honor being with the USA Basketball team," Krzyzewski said in the interview. "And to coach the team and work with Jerry these seven years has been marvelous.
"And we're in a good spot," Krzyzewski added. "We need to keep building."
Krzyzewski led the Americans to Olympic gold in 2008 and 2012, and a world basketball championship in 2010. The Americans also won bronze in the 2006 worlds, their first tournament under his guidance, and haven't lost a game since. Mike Krzyzewski Carmelo Anthony #15 (L) and Chris Paul #13 (C) of the USA Basketball Men's Senior National Team talk with head coach Mike Krzyzewski (R) at the end of a practice at Valley High School June 24, 2008 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Americans automatically qualified for the 2014 World Cup of Basketball in Spain by winning gold in London. Colangelo originally said he planned to name a new coach around the new year, but put off those plans so he could talk to Krzyzewski once the Blue Devils' season was finished.
The delay created speculation Krzyzewski was open to a return, but he told ESPN Radio that USA Basketball wouldn't make an announcement during the season, anyway.
If Krzyzewski is indeed finished, Colangelo will first have to determine if he wants to stay with a college coach or go back to someone from the NBA. Before Krzyzewski, the Americans had been led by someone from the pros since 1992, when NBA players were first allowed to play in the Olympics.
But after a bronze medal finish in 2004, two years after an embarrassing sixth-place performance in the worlds, Colangelo was given control of USA Basketball and hired Krzyzewski, who has been on the staff of 12 U.S. teams since 1979.
He got the Americans back on top with a thrilling victory over Spain in Beijing, then committed to return for another three-year stint the following year. The Americans' victory in Istanbul in 2010 was their first world title since 1994, and they won even though none of the '08 gold medalists returned.
Krzyzewski has said he planned to remain close to Colangelo and the program even if he didn't return. He was asked in the interview if the U.S. would have a different coach in 2016, when they try for a third straight Olympic gold medal.
"Yeah, and he'll be great," Krzyzewski said, "and he'll get all the support of all of us, and of me."

BOBBY BROWN SENTENCED ON CHARGES OF THIRD DUI AND DRIVING WITH A SUSPENDED LICENSE

BOBBY BROWN
Bobby Brown appeared in court on Tuesday, Feb. 26 to face charges for DUI number three and driving on a suspended license. What punishment did the judge pass down to the Being Bobby Brown star? Did he get a slap on the wrist? Or is he headed to the slammer? Take the jump to find out!

According to TMZ, Brown was arrested and charged with DUI number three in October. But that wasn’t all, not only was he driving while under the influence of alcohol, he was also driving on a suspended license, so he was slapped with a charge for that as well.

When Brown appeared before the judge, he entered a plea of no contest. The judge could have sentenced him to up to two years behind bars but instead, Brown was sentenced to 55 days in jail and four-years of probation. And his punishment didn’t stop there. The judge also ordered him to pay a $500 fine plus penalty assessment and to complete an 18-month alcohol program.

While Brown was not remanded into custody on Tuesday, he only has until Mar. 20 to get is affairs in order and turn himself in to the jail. In the meantime, the judge ordered that he attend three Alcoholics Anonymous meetings per week.

But we have to wonder, will this sentence be enough to turn the troubled star around? Given his track record, it’s doubtful. He has spent time in rehab on several occasions in the past; however none of them seemed to work.

CARMELO ANTHONY SPEAKS OUT ON AMAR'E STOUDEMIRE AND GIVES HIM HIGH PRAISES

Carmelo Anthony and Amar’e Stoudemire have not grown into the perfect tandem, but Anthony has grown to love Stoudemire for his sacrifices.
One day after coach Mike Woodson revealed Stoudemire is on a 30-minute cap the rest of the season, Anthony saluted the Knicks $100 million backup power forward for never once complaining or balking at Knicks management’s wishes. Stoudemire doesn’t start, doesn’t finish and doesn’t play 31 minutes.
“I said it from Day 1 — for a guy like that to accept this role, you got to take your hat off to him,’’ said Anthony, whose Knicks host the Warriors tonight. “A guy who’s been a starter for a long time, All-Star in this league, accomplished so much in the league, to have the injuries he’s had, and have to take that step back, I imagine it was tough for him to do that. We respect him for that. We got his back.’’
Stoudemire said yesterday he was “OK’’ with the decision, even though his new low-post game has become a weapon. He is shooting 56.9 percent from the field, with speculation a role expansion was in order, particularly in the playoffs. But Stoudemire trusts the Knicks’ medical staff, which made the decision along with general manager Glen Grunwald.
“I have no problem with that, 30 minutes,’’ Stoudemire said. “I could be very productive in 30 minutes. That’s my motto. Be productive, aggressive and efficient in 30 minutes. I’m looking forward to it. Thirty minutes is OK with me. They understand what it takes to be successful. I’m going off their call.’’
Woodson said yesterday the medical staff arrived at the idea as the Knicks try to protect their uninsured asset. If Stoudemire’s knee or back forces him to retire prematurely, the Knicks are on the hook because his contract is uninsured.
Ironically, ex-Knicks power forward David Lee, who made the 2013 All-Star team for the West and was shipped out to make room for Stoudemire’s contract, invades the Garden tonight.
“I look at it in the long run, the 30,’’ Woodson said. “If he’s talking about extending his career, it’s a great position to be in. Thirty minutes is the max. He knows that. A lot of things can be done in 30 minutes. I’m excited and happy. This can really prolong him, help him in the long run.’’
Stoudemire is averaging 13.7 points in 22.8 minutes. There is a sense among Knicks brass he also will be more efficient by playing in the 20-to-30 minute range. The coaching staff has been wary of having him finish because of his defense and potential to stunt Anthony. In fact, Woodson is trying to have Tyson Chandler play more with the second unit to cover up for Stoudemire’s defensive lapses.
The 30-minute decision is another way to make Stoudemire more viable for next season. After 2013-14, Stoudemire will be in his expiring contract year and easy to trade.
Woodson has been clear he will not lift Stoudemire into the starting lineup, mostly because Anthony has grown comfortable as the starting 4. But Woodson hinted Stoudemire, coming off his 9-of-10 outing Sunday vs. Philadelphia, may finish games now.
“If he comes off the bench, doesn’t mean he won’t be there at the end of the game,’’ Woodson said. “I think he’s accepting his role and been pretty good at it in terms of his play.’’
Where once Stoudemire may have been jealous of Anthony, he has been the good soldier in following orders, hoping this alignment leads to a title. The defining moment came Jan. 17 in London after his breakout game. A British journalist asked whose team it was, Anthony’s or Stoudemire’s, as the two sat on the podium.
“It’s Melo’s team,’’ Stoudemire said.
“I don’t know what the minutes restriction is, but he’s been critical for us, giving us that low-post presence,’’ Anthony said yesterday. “Someone we can give it to down there. It’s giving us another option to go to. He’s been doing very well at that.’’
Stoudemire, however, doesn’t buy his efficiency is greater with less minutes.
“I wouldn’t base it on minutes played,’’ Stoudemire said. “The more you play, the more chances you have to be more efficient. Playing smart basketball and repetition in practice, that’s where efficiency comes in.’’
Asked if he misses starting or finishing more, Stoudemire said, “As long as we’re winning. The coaching staff watches an ample amount of film. They understand how to win games. So I go off their call.’’

SON ADMITS TO HACKING UP HIS BRONX MOTHER AND DUMPING HER BODY AROUND THE NEIGHBORHOOD IN DUFFEL BAGS

Tanya Byrd

A Bronx lunatic hacked up his mother and dumped her remains all over the neighborhood yesterday because the woman told him to grow up and move out. The body parts of Tanya Byrd, 45, a home health aide and devoted mother of three, were found in four locations around Morrisania beginning at around 4 a.m. by a father and son walking their dog. Her troubled son, Bahsid McLean, 23, confessed to the horrific crime — telling cops he did it, “basically because his mom wanted him to grow up and move out and be a man,” said a law-enforcement source.
Her body parts were wrapped in plastic, with some stuffed in luggage, cops said.
Police discovered a saw blade and gloves in their apartment, which reeked of bleach, the law-enforcement sources said. A box for a new Black & Decker handsaw was found in the apartment, but the tool was missing.
McLean, being held with charges pending last night, told cops he chopped up his mother in the bathtub, where he drained the blood, the sources said.
REMAINS OF THE DAY: Pedes-trians yesterday hustle past a suitcase containing the body parts of tragic Tanya Byrd.

He and an unidentified pal were seen on surveillance video hauling the bags out of the house, the sources said. After at first confessing to the crime, he changed his story and said his cohort killed her.
“He and another guy are blaming each other,” said a law-enforcement source. “He’s constantly changing his story as we find more physical evidence. There’s no question he did it.”
The dog walkers who found some of the remains picked up two bags thinking they contained books, law-enforcement sources said.
They later realized it contained an arm and leg and called cops in a panic.
McLean was arrested for stealing cash from his mother in 2009.
His grandfather said the man was diagnosed with schizophrenia and was institutionalized for much of his childhood.

MISS DELAWARE TEEN USA RESIGNS HER CROWN AFTER SEX TAPE IS LEAKED TO A PORN SITE

The porn video allegedly showing Miss Delaware Teen USA Melissa King (left) and a picture of King wearing her official sash (right).
Miss Delaware Teen USA, Melissa King, has turned in her crown after a sex tape emerged allegedly staring the 18-year-old beauty.
"The Miss Delaware Teen USA pageant has received a resignation letter from Miss King's attorney," Dara Busch, a spokesperson for the pageant, told the Delaware News Journal yesterday.
King's resignation came on the same day that the video hit the Web on a porn site, "where amateur girls make first time adult videos."
Miss Delaware Krista Clausen (left to right), Donald Trump, and Melissa King
The site claimed Tuesday that the woman in the video was King who was crowned Miss Delaware Teen USA just five months after the film was shot in June of 2012.
In the video, a woman who resembles King sits on a bed wearing a purple dress as an off-camera interviewer asks her questions.
The man starts by asking about when she turned 18, to which the woman says, "Three months ago, in March."
According to the Miss Delaware Teen USA Web site, King's birthday is in March while the beauty queen tweeted on February 24th that, "a year ago almost , I turned 18. I'm about to turn 19 and so much has changed for the better in my life in the past year... Nothing can bring me down:)"
After delving into the woman's sexual history the interviewer asks, "You're actually a Miss Teen for a certain state, I'm not going to say the state," before the woman shakes her head and mumbles "nuh nuh."
The off-camera interviewer then wisens up and coyly asks, "You do beauty pageants?" to which the woman smiles and says, "I've done them, yes."
Besides birthdays and beauty pageants the interviewer also asks the woman in the video about why she got into porn.
"I thought it'd be fun and it sounded like I needed the money, so I just decided to do it," the young woman says.
King denied she was the woman in the tape telling The News Journal, "Absolutely not, it is not."
The Miss Delaware Teen USA is run by the Donald Trump backed Miss Universe Organization.

SHARK ATTACK & KILLS A MAN IN OFF THE COAST OF POPULAR NEW ZEALAND BEACH

Police in inflatable rubber boats shoot at a shark off Muriwai Beach near Auckland, New Zealand.
A shark possibly 14 feet long killed a swimmer near a popular New Zealand beach on Wednesday, then disappeared after police attempting to save the man fired gunshots at the enormous predator.
Muriwai Beach near Auckland was closed after the fatal attack, one of only about a dozen in New Zealand in the past 180 years.
Pio Mose, who was fishing at the beach, told The New Zealand Herald he saw the swimmer struggle against the "huge" shark. He told the man to swim to the rocks, but it was too late.
"All of a sudden there was blood everywhere," Mose said. "... I was shaking, scared, panicked."
Police Inspector Shawn Rutene said in a statement that the swimmer, was about 650 feet offshore when the shark attacked. He said police went out in inflatable surf-lifesaving boats and shot at the shark, which they estimate was 12 to 14 feet long.
"It rolled over and disappeared," Rutene said, without saying whether police are certain that they killed the creature.
Police recovered the body of the swimmer. The Herald reported that he was Adam Strange, a 46-year-old television and short film director, and that his family issued a statement expressing their shock and requesting privacy.
Police comfort a woman believed to be a family member of a man attacked by a shark at Muriwai Beach near Auckland, New Zealand
About 200 people had been enjoying the beach during the Southern Hemisphere summer at the time of the attack. Police said Muriwai and other beaches nearby have been closed until further notice.
Police did not say what species of shark was involved in the attack. Clinton Duffy, a shark expert with the Department of Conservation, said New Zealand is a hotspot for great white sharks, and other potentially lethal species also inhabit the waters.
Attacks are rare. Duffy estimated that only 12 to 14 people have been killed by sharks in New Zealand since record-keeping began in the 1830s.
"There are much lower levels of shark attacks here than in Australia," he said. "It's possibly a function of how many people are in the water" in New Zealand's cooler climate.
He said that during the Southern Hemisphere summer, sharks often come in closer to shore to feed and to give birth, although that doesn't necessarily equate to a greater risk of attack.
"Ninety-nine percent of the time they ignore people," he said. "Sometimes, people get bitten."
Around the world, sharks attacked humans 80 times last year, and seven people were killed, according to the University of Florida's International Shark Attack File. The death toll was lower than it was in 2011 but higher than the average of 4.4 from 2001 to 2010.

RAPPER YOUNG VITO WAS FOUND NOT GUILTY FOR THE MURDER OF FELLOW ATL RAPPER SLIM DUNKIN BUT IS STILL SENTENCED TO 25 YEARS IN PRISON

RAPPER YOUNG VITO
Rapper Young Vito was found not guilty of the murder of Slim Dunkin, who was a member of Waka Flocka's Brick Squad. Vito, whose real name is Vinson Hardimon, was however sentenced to 25 years in prison for an aggravated assault charge.
VINSON HARDIMOM AKA YOUNG VITO AT SENTENCING
Yesterday (Feb. 25), Atlanta's Fulton County Superior Court ruled that Hardimon would not be held accountable for the death of Slim Dunkin (born Mario Hamilton), which came after a fight between
the two in December 2011. The court instead found Hardimon guilty of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a handgun during the commission of a felony. In conjunction with
a gun charge he acquired just four months prior to Hamilton's death, Judge Craig Schwall ruled that Hardimon was an eminent threat
"I just think he's prone to carry a gun, and he's violent and dangerous," the judge said.
In the months prior to his altercation with Slim Dunkin, Young Vito was accused of holding a gun to his ex-girlfriend and her 16-year-old daughter, to which he took an "Alford" guilty plea. During the
fight with Dunkin -- which was allegedly over a piece of candy on the set of a Gucci Mane video -- Vito was accused of shooting and killing the unarmed rapper.
Dunkin's father, Mark Hamilton, expressed discontent with the ruling, but found solace in Vito's sentencing.
RAPPER SLIM DUNKIN WAS MURDERED AFTER ALTERCATION DURING VIDEO SHOOT
"I'm disappointed with that verdict ... I don't know what [the jury] saw. In the end, he got 25 years and we can have some closure."

NICKI MINAJ SHOWS OFF HER BOOBS DURING "FREAK" VIDEO SHOOT (BEHIND THE SCENES)

PITBULL TAKES SHOTS AT LIL' WAYNE AND IS ONE OF THE MIAMI ARTISTS WHO WANT HIM GONE

PITBULL GOES AT LIL' WAYNE
Dade County and it’s famous residents want Lil Wayne O-U-T…OUT!!
It’s no secret that Miami native Luther “Uncle Luke” Campbell, was not on the “Welcome to Miami” committee when it came to rapper Lil Wayne.  After a while, Trick Daddy, who is also a Miami native, shared the same feelings as Uncle Luke.  Uncle Luke has been reported saying that he wants Wayne to pack up and leave “his city”, and has even reached out to other Miami residents, including MMG boss Rick Ross, to speed up this process.
A couple of weeks ago during NBA All Star weekend, Lil Wayne made news when he stated his opinion about the Miami Heat basketball team.  In that recorded rant, Lil Wayne made claims of having relations with the wife of Chris Bosh, one of the Miami Heat basketball players.  He also went on to bash more of the Heat players.  This did not sit well with the Miami Heat or it’s residents; and it also gave them more reasons of why he should vacate the city.
Since all of this has been happening, another Miamian artists have joined Uncle Luke, and Trick Daddy.  Now, Pitbull wants Lil Wayne to kick rocks out of Miami.  So much, that he even made a diss track to prove his feelings.  The track entitled “Welcome To Dade County”, throws some punches at YMCMB rapper.  Pitbull spits the line:
“You got money, yeah yeah, that’s sweet/ But we all know Slim and Baby really eat/ You talk Miami if you talking Heat/ Moral of the story, don’t sh*t where you eat.”
If that isn’t a shot at Wayne, I’m not sure what is.  I wonder if Wayne will retaliate, especially since he has no remorse for his strong opinions.  Check out the entire song below.

INDIANA TOP JUDGE FACING SEXUAL CHARGES STEMMING FROM HAVING SEX WITH A 26-YEAR-OLD PRISONER

JANET JACKSON ANNOUNCED SHE WAS MARRIED LAST YEAR TO NEW HUBBY WISSAM AL MANA

After Janet Jackson announced her engagement to then-boyfriend Wissam Al Mana last December, rumors quickly followed of her lavish wedding plans.

But according to Entertainment Tonight, the 46-year-old pop star and her 37-year-old Qatari billionaire fiancé already tied the knot "last year" in what they described as "a quiet, private and beautiful ceremony," dispelling talks of a multimillion-dollar wedding.

"Our wedding gifts to one another were contributions to our respective favourite children's charities," the couple said in a statement. "We would appreciate that our privacy is respected and that we are allowed this time for celebration and joy."

This is Jackson's third marriage after parting ways with James DeBarge and René Elizondo. She also split with Jermaine Dupri in 2009 after a high-profile relationship.

(VIDEO) KANYE WEST DISSES PRESIDENT OBAMA ON STAGE IN LONDON

Kanye West must have woken up on the wrong side of the bed in London on Feb.23. Now there’s news that his already infamous on-stage rant included President Barack Obama as a target!

Kanye West’s Diss At The President Of The United States

“I don’t give a f**k what the president’s got to say,” the rapper said in his freestyle-like rant. This is the same guy who once referred to himself as “the abomination of Obama’s nation” in a song, which now seems pretty close to the truth.
Kanye is almost certainly referring to the MULTIPLE times that President Obama has called him a “jackass.” Both times referring to Kanye’s infamous Taylor Swift moment at the 2009 VMAs, Obama dropped the insult first on an interview with CNBC, and then again in a story in The Atlantic.

Kanye West’s Rant: His Other Targets

No one was safe in Kanye’s tirade. Going at his “big brother,” Jay-Z and his new collaborator Justin Timberlake, Yeezy said, “I got love for Hov, but I ain’t f***kin’ with that ‘Suit & Tie.’”
Adding to the profanity, Kanye ranted about corporate funding in music and said of the Grammys: “The Grammys can suck my d**k.”
Of all the insults he hurled at the Hammersmith Apollo on Feb. 23, the Grammys one is really the only one that made sense.
But the assaults on Jay-Z and President Obama are particularly confusing. Kanye literally would not be where he is today without Jay-Z, a fact that he chooses to acknowledge or ignore at his leisure.

Yeezy was definitely mad about something though. Just watch how he ended the show below!

SETH MACFARLENE DISSES CHRIS BROWN & RIHANNA AT THE 85TH ACADEMY AWARDS

SETH MACFARLENE AT THE 85TH ACADEMY AWARDS
The gloves are off and the claws are out! Host Seth dissed a lot of people when opening the 85th Academy Awards on Feb. 24, including Chris and Rihanna, when he took a dig at their relationship.

Forget Ricky Gervais hosting the Golden Globes, Seth MacFarlane was way more offensive at the 85th Annual Academy Awards, when he totally dissed Rihanna and Chris Brown! Seth, 39, was speaking about the film Django Unchained, when he referenced Chris and Rihanna’s complicated relationship and the night when Chris assaulted her in 2009.

Seth was opening the show at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, when he let rip with a series of diss jokes, but none were as bad as the joke he made about Rihanna, 25, and Chris, 23. Seth was speaking about Django Unchained, and how the film is “unspeakably violent.” He then quipped that it is like “date night for Rihanna and Chris Brown.”

Seth was referring to the night in Feb. 2009 when Chris assaulted Rihanna prior to the Grammy Awards. While Seth was trying to rouse the crowd, joking about domestic violence is totally uncalled for. And Chris did not appreciate the joke!

Twitter user Wesley Lowery tweeted “Was in the room with Chris Brown when that joke about him and Rihanna was dropped. It was awkward. #oscars”

While the majority of the audience groaned at Seth’s awkward joke, Robert Downey Jr was seen clapping, while Nicole Kidman laughed. At least some people enjoyed it! Meanwhile, Keith Urban and Halle Berry were stone faced.

(VIDEO) 9-YR-OLD LIL' POOPY'S DAD IS BEING PROBED FOR HIS SON'S LEWD LYRICS AND VIDEO

Lil Poopy

Lil Poopy is just another booty-slappin’, bad mouthin’ rapper — except for the fact that he is only nine years old, and his dad happens to be getting charged with child abuse because of his scandalous music video! Watch the shocking video.

With YouTube, everyone can be a rapper and become a hit, but that doesn’t always mean that they should! Pint-sized rapper Lil Poopy, 9, can be seen hitting a young lady’s derriere and rapping about guns and drugs — and his dad Luis Rivera happens to think it’s just fine. But Massachusetts police think otherwise, and filed a complaint with child welfare.

Lil Poopy (real name is Luie Rivera Jr.) signed with rapper French Montana, and lives with his family in Massachusetts. Lil Poopy’s dad Luis is being charged with child abuse and neglect, but Luis thinks what his son is doing is completely okay and likens the butt-slapping to that of baseball.

Lil Poopy’s Dad Defends Raunchy Music Video

“When you hit a home run, when you go to the bleachers, they tap you on the butt,” Luis Rivera said. “He’s not doing anything wrong.”
According to The Enterprise newspaper, police Lt. David Dickinson told them “It’s a bit much for a 9-year-old. It warrants the attention of the Department of Children and Families.”
A whopping $7,500 is reportedly the price Lil Poopy gets paid to rap at clubs, where he performs with a group called the Coke Boys. Of course, Lil Poopy couldn’t be a part of this group without a nickname and the chosen name is none other than Cocaine Cowboy. Sounds like a disaster of a nickname for a 9 year old!
Check out one of Lil Poopy’s music video below and let us know what YOU think HollyMoms? Does this seem like child abuse?

MISSING WOMAN'S BODY PARTS FOUND AROUND HER BRONX NEIGHBORHOOD IN DIFFERENT TRAVEL & GARBAGE BAGS SCATTERED OVER SEVERAL BLOCKS

Bag found believed to contain gruesome body parts.
A sadistic fiend chopped up a woman’s body and dumped dismembered remains in bags all over a Bronx neighborhood, authorities said today.
At least four travel bags and garbage bags were found scattered over several blocks in the Morrisania neighborhood, police and witnesses said.
Cops got a 911 call from a passerby at about 4:30 a.m., reporting a bloody roller bag at East 158th Street and Cauldwell Avenue, officials said.
A right leg was found on Eagle Avenue near 156th Street, while a torso was discovered on Eagle near 158th Street, witnesses said. A head found at Cauldwell and 158th, according to witnesses.
A bag was found today that was believed to contain body parts.
“I saw the police find it. It was on top of the garbage, the recyclables. It looked like a female right leg,” said a 53-year-old witness at Eagle and 156th.
“It was in a plastic trash bag but that [plastic garbage bag] was in a traveler’s bag. That family is going to suffer, somebody is going to wake up without their mother.”
Cops have interviewed neighborhood witnesses who saw a car randomly dumping bags, according to a nearby building superintendent.
“That’s creepy, I don't like it at all. It feels like some Freddy Krueger stuff,” the 49-year-old building super said. “The police said it was a woman.”
