Representatives for Wu-Tang Clan founding members GZA and U-God are set to battle in court over the leak of a recent track featuring the two MCs.
According to the reports, GZA’s record label Babygrande Records filed suit in Manhattan Supreme Court this week alleging that promoters and media organizations who helped put out U-God’s recent album The Keynote Speaker used a track, “Heads Up,” featuring GZA, which was not intended for commercial release.

Babygrande has an exclusivity agreement with their client regarding his releases, with the Keynote track violating that contract.

Babygrande is also alleging that the GZA verse cuts into their marketing campaign for his upcoming album Dark Matter, and is looking for $75,000 in damages.

Reps for the artists had not responded to requests for comment as of press time.
