MICROSOFT ANNOUNCES XBOX 360 CONSOLE REDESIGN AT IT'S E3 EVENT

Xbox 360 gets a Onelike redesign, is available today
XBOX 360
When Microsoft kicked off its E3 event today we all thought the focus was going to be on the Xbox One. But the Xbox 360 has received some attention, too.
Microsoft has decided to give the 360 one final redesign before they move on to the next console. From today, you can go out and buy a brand new Xbox 360 that is styled just like the Xbox One. At the same time, it is “smaller, sleeker, and just as quiet” as the existing Slim model.

If you already own an Xbox 360, which let’s face it most of you do, Microsoft is pushing Xbox Live gold memberships, too. Your Live account will work across the Xbox 360 and Xbox One, so the more accounts Microsoft can activate they clearly think the more gamers will make the switch to the new machine.

With that in mind, new and existing Live Gold subscribers will be entitled to two free game downloads every single month. The full line-up of games that will be included in that offer has not been divulged yet, but Halo 3 and Assassin’s Creed 2 were both mentioned on stage.

Think of it like what Sony offers PlayStation Plus members.
