PRINCE SLAMS MADONNA IN BILLBOARD MAGAZINE INTERVIEW WHEN SPEAKING ON THEIR TIME AT WARNER BROS. RECORDS

Prince Slams Madonna, Maroon 5
Prince slammed Madonna during a recent interview with Billboard Magazine. The 54-year-old singer named the Material Girl at one point when speaking about his time with Warner Bros. Records.
Prince and Madonna are known for a long-standing beef with each other, but it supposedly ended two years ago.

If Prince’s words during the recent interview mean anything, however, it looks like things are about to heat back up. Yahoo! News reports that the singer stated of his time with Warner Bros. Records:
“It was always about Madonna. She was getting paid, but at the same time we were selling more records and selling out concerts on multiple nights.”
The two famously feuded after they dated briefly in 1985. They later worked together on Madonna’s “Love Song,” which was released on her 1988 album Like a Prayer.
Along with slamming Madonna, Prince also talked about Maroon 5 and it appears there’s no love lost their either. Maroon 5 covered Prince’s classic hit “Kiss.” E! Online notes that Prince stated:
“Why do we need to hear another cover of a song someone else did? Art is about building a new foundation, not just laying something on top of what’s already there.”
Prince is not the only one to make snide comments during his feud with Madonna. The Material Girl once stated of her one-time boyfriend, “[He] was a little troll. He was just sipping tea, very daintily. I have this theory about people who don’t eat. They annoy me.”

Later on, the artist formerly known as “The Artist Formerly Known as Prince,” compared the number of his chart-topping songs with how many children Madonna has. He said in 2007, “I got so many hits y’all can’t handle me. I got more hits than Madonna’s got kids.”
What do you think of Prince slamming Madonna?
