DID BEYONCE' REALLY SING THE NATIONAL ATHEM LIVE OR WAS IT LIP-SYNCED

Beyoncé Knowles' breathtaking performance of the national anthem at the presidential inauguration on Monday was reportedly not live.

Kristin DuBois, a spokeswoman for the Marine Corp Band, confirmed to London's The Times that "we did pre-record it and it was Beyoncé's decision at the last minute to go with the pre-recorded version." DuBois noted that it was standard procedure for the band to record a backing track. "We pre-recorded all music as a matter of course and have done since time immemorial," she said.
No word yet as to whether Kelly Clarkson also lip-synched her version of "My Country, 'Tis of Thee."
