Singer Alicia Keys celebrated her 32nd birthday in Madrid, Spain. She was spotted leaving her hotel wearing tight jeans, a cropped black leather jacket and a purple turtleneck. Ak was tapped to perform the National Anthem during the Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans on Feb 3. The mother-of-one also belted out our nation’s anthem at President Obama’s 2nd Inauguration.
Keys promises to sing her own version of the anthem at the Super Bowl, which leaves professional gamblers betting whether Keys will go over or under the length of time that Kelly Clarkson took to perform the anthem last year.
“Whenever a singer announces they will do their own rendition of the anthem, it complicates the situation because it usually runs much longer,” Kevin Bradley at Bovada in an interview Friday. “You are never sure what to expect.”
The line was set at 2 minutes 15 seconds, a full 41 seconds longer than last year’s over-under.In the last two years, Bradley’s team predicted the length within a second. Back at Super Bowl XLVI, former American Idol champ Kelly Clarkson breezed through the anthem at 1:34.Bradley had set the over-under at precisely 1:34. A year earlier, they pegged Christina Aguilera’s version at 1:55 and it came in one second shorter.“I guess that makes us the unofficial best anthem handicappers around,” he joked.
