TERRELL OWENS AKA T. OWE THREATENED JAIL TIME FOR MISSING COURT DATE FOR CHILD SUPPORT

Terrell Owens ex-NFL star $20,000 behing in child support is said to be desperate to play football again.

Terrell Owens is desperate for a return to the NFL, but it appears he may be closer to spending time behind bars.
Owens was a no-show at a child support hearing in Atlanta on Thursday according to WSB-TV, much to the dismay of Judge John Goger. The judge reset the hearing for July 19, but warned that if Owens fails to show up again, he could be thrown in the slammer.
David Hartin, Owens' attorney, took the blame for the former NFL superstar's absence, claiming there was a miscommunication.
The 38-year-old Owens is $20,000 behind on child support payments. Melanie Smith, the mother of Owens' 7-year-old daughter, says that he's stiffed her on child support payments for months. Under the terms of a previous agreement, Owens is supposed to pay Smith $5,000 a month, so Owens is presumably four months behind on payments.
"It's a tragedy, not only that we are here today; this is the third case she has had to file in the last year," Smith's attorney Randy Kessler told the TV station.
Owens last played in the NFL in 2010 with the Cincinnati Bengals. He had a brief stint the Allen Wranglers of the Indoor Football League this year, joining them in February for a six-figure salary and part ownership of the team. His contract was terminated in May after he opted to sit out some of the team's road games and skipped a team charity event.
The six-time Pro Bowler, who has also played with the 49ers, Cowboys, Eagles and Bills during a 15-year NFL career, has his name all over the NFL record books. He ranks second all-time in both receiving yards (15,934) and receiving TDs (153). Owens' 1,078 career receptions is good for sixth place.
