Nick Cannon Discovers Blood Clots In His Lungs, Quits NYC Radio Show

Nick Cannon, 31, announced on Feb. 15 that he’ll be leaving his Rollin with Nick Cannon NYC radio show on 92.3. Last weekend, he was hospitalized after doctors discovered blood clots in his lungs as well as an enlarged ventricle in his heart.

“The Doctors found blood clots in my lungs and said if I don’t slow down and stop working so hard then it’s a wrap!” he tweeted on Feb. 17.

He also released a statement. “Under doctor’s orders, I have been asked to put my health first and cut back on some of my professional commitments in order to allow my body to get the rest that it needs to keep up with the demands of my multi-tasking schedule,” he said. “Even Superman has to sleep.”

This is the second health scare for Nick this year. In early January he was hospitalized for mild kidney failure while on vacation in Colorado with wife Mariah Carey and their twins Roc and Roe. He is set to continue working on his weekend radio show Cannons Countdown and will return as host of America’s Got Talent.
